How do you fight boredom on a plane? |
I have a twelve hour flight on Sunday, and I'm dreading it. What is a good way to keep occupied while flying, if you can't sleep? I was thinking of finding a good book or perhaps a word-search collection. Umm... I'm really not sure. Could anyone help me? |

I was on a flight to India which is over 20 hours long...I had my lap top which came in handy and I took a couple books and a crossword book, a friend of mine has a DSL Lite (Sp) and she
takes that with her, but there are also those other hand held games..video poker etc.....If you are lucky you will sit next to someone interesting and have some nice conversation.

The best thing to do is sleep. If you have trouble sleeping on planes - talk with your doctor and he can prescibe you a few sleeping pills - just for the flight. Even with a sleeping pill, you wouldn't sleep for 12 hours though, so I would just think about what you like to do in your free time at home. Bring books or magazines if you like to read or a portable DVD player for movies, or a PSP or something of that nature for video games. The word search books are fun, but I always get bored with them pretty quickly. Make sure you get up and walk around every so often also - nothing is worse than leg cramps on a plane! Bug the stewardess, bring a laser/flashlight...put it on ppls faces and then look away when they realize the lazer is on them, Do sumthing inappropriate in the bathroom, fake throwing up or really throw up...w/e suits u best, build a peanut castle(bring the super glue and gloves and nail polish remover incase the glue gets tooooo sticky), drink :) YAY, bark like a dog, mess with the seat to bug ur neighbor, sing 99 bottles of beer on the wall, myspace |
