You buy a ticket, be at the airport about 1-2 hours before flight time, go through security, go to your gate, board when they tell you to, take your seat and fasten your seat belt. |

Im under 18, 15 infact.
A few weeks ago while making a flight here in Australia, I checked in at the airport, went through security, got to the gate ect like a normal person and when I got on the plane, I was offerd an escort off the plane when I got to Townsville but I simply denied it.
But dont go thinking that you will get special treatment. If you go on as a normal person, your treated as a normal person...which is good. |

if you are flying alone the ticket reservation will show when you chekc in that you are a minor travleign alone and under 16 requires an escort. that usually entails a flight person walking you to and from your gate and or connections. you also get to wear a bright colorful thing around your neck depending on the airline so all the employees know you are alone and young. its no big thing though people do it all the time think custody sharing. |

You will have an escort with you that will transport you wherever you need to go, and watch you wherever you go. |

Children under five years must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or older. Children under 12, for whom Unaccompanied Minor assistance hasn't been ordered, must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or older. You do have to book this with the airline ahead of time. |

A flight attendant will keep an eye on you throughout the flight, then someone will escort you to a taxi, car ect. |

apparently people like answering when they dont know what they are talking about...the answer u were looking for: if u are under the age of 15 then u have to pay for an escort service (generally $50 for a direct flight and $75 if you are making a connection). at the age of 15-17 you will be offered the escort service but u can deny it and travel alone in which you would just fly as anyone else and just check in with normal procedure and if u dont have your license yet, i would recommend going to the BMV and getting a government issued id. oh and being a minor u can have your parents come to the gate with you when they get a gate pass from the airline agent |
