How do you sneak a ferret or any small animal on an airplane? =/?

It will just be a two hour flight. Three hours the most. Um has anyone ever done it?

I wouldn't chance it as security is so tight and you might end up not being allowed to fly. There is a reason for these laws, can you imagine the panic in the plane if a ferret was to get loose? Best leave the poor thing at home.

There are a few ferret friendly airways.

They will check your carrier. Infact they will make you take OUT your ferret to see if there is anything potentionally harmful in the carrier.

Heres the list for ferret friendly airlines, along with some helpful info, and how much it will cost etc.

Why would you risk harming your pet like that??

Leave it at home where it's safe, and get someone to tend to it for you.

This really is a no-brainer.

I had a friend who took a bird from Albania to New York City. I have no idea how, apparently it was in his pocket the entire time, but it all depends on what country you're flying from (for example, the customs in Albania aren't nearly as stringent as they are in the States). But it's really risky, and nowadays, if you do happen to get caught, the charges and suspicions associated with it may be heavy.

they will most likely see it when u go thru airport security screening.

Impossible! Would you really want to fly out of city or with an airline that didn't notice a pet in your carry on or on your person. Try bringing that on an airplane and your animal will not go and you may not either.

DON'T DO IT. When you get caught, and you will, you will not be allowed to board your flight. If you actually make it on the plane and in the air, the flight will be diverted and you will be removed from the flight and met at the gate by the police. You will then be stuck in whatever place they diverted to and will not be able to make to your final destination. You will have a plane full of unhappy passengers who will not be amused at your stunt that caused them to be delayed and possibly miss their connecting flight.

I was in Maui with my friend who is a flight attendant. The crew that brought our plane in was delayed 3 hours because some stupid idiot smuggled their dog on the flight and the flight had to be diverted to Honolulu (animals can only enter Hawaii through HNL). The passenger was met by airline officials, quarantine personnel, and the police. His dog was taken to quarantine and he was arrested.

its impossible to sneak anything on a plane nowadays. you better leave it with someone you trust while your away.

in the US, on scheduled airlines, you will not succeed except:

If the animal is small/lazy enough, you could conceivably hide it in a small box and put it through the x-ray machine. If it doesn't move or look suspicious to the x-ray screener, or make any noise in the vicinity of the checkpoint, it might just work.

I'm thinking of an animal like a gecko, small turtle.

For any animal, I believe bringing them in the cabin, legal or not, is cruel. Put them in a kennel underneath the plane if you absolutely must travel with them.

I used to see people sneaking dogs in duffel bags underneath their seats.

I've brought 2 baby turtles in my shirt's front pocket. I'm not sure I'd risk sneaking a ferret, considering that they can make noise, unlike baby turtles.
