No, it's not like going downhill on a roller coaster. They descend at a slow enough rate, that you might not even notice it. You might feel a bit of a downward pressure, but that's about it. As for the actual landing itself, depends on how good of a pilot/first officer you have. It can also depend on the weather (if there is a lot of wind, etc). You will be just fine!

when an airplane lands it doesn't feel like you're going downhill it just feels like youre on a roller coaster being pushed so fast that you kind of are pushed up against your seat. and your ears pop.

No, it's not like a roller coaster. The worst you will feel a slight bump as the wheels on the plane hit the tarmac and the plane is slowing down. The descent is gradual and the pilot of the plane will be notifying you that they are going to land shortly and are decreasing in altitude as it is happening. Your ears might pop as well.

No, it's not like a roller coaster. It's more like driving down a fairly steep hill in a car. The only bad part about landing is that your ears will pop. For some people (like me), they can't stand to land because their ears will also start to hurt really bad, but for most people that doesn't happen. If it does chew some gum. That helps.

No it's more subtle than that.

It's as though the power is being reduced, the cabin pressure changes and so your ears feel odd. You hear and feel the wheels unfold from under the plane and sense you are getting lower, then you feel several bumps as the wheels hit the tarmac and hear a roar from the engines and feel as though you are being pushed in to your seats. Suddenly it's over and you're on the ground.

Depends you dont feel much while descending. Maybe just a little bump when the wheels touchdown. Again it depends on the pilot and how he lands the plane. You really dont hv anything to worry about. Relax and enjoy - read a book to take yr mind off of it.

On final descend, you will see and hear the flaps come out (these help the plane slow down, while descending) then you might or might not feel your ears pop. You basically dont feel anthing else, but u see the plane getting closer to the ground. It depends on the Pilot skills as to whether you have a rough landing or not. Some Pilots have the smooothest landings, you dont even feel the wheels touching down; and some.. man.. some land so rough it feels like u fell out of the sjy! lol Most Pilots are pretty good tho.Right after the main landing gear (rear wheels) touch the ground the nose of the plane comes down and the nose gear (front wheels) will touch down. You will then hear a loud noisy, like a suctioning kinda sound, and u might or might not see the engine opening. This is called the reverse thrust (er). The plane is going down the runway at maybe over 100 miles an hour, so, in order for it to stop, it needs the engines to instead of pulling air from the front, to reverse its course and suck air from the back, to asist the aircraft in slowing down.
Its a fun experience, really. Wanna know something? If u ever fly out of Orange County... dont get scared on take off. They have a sound abaitment, so right after the plane takes off, the pilots shut the engines off, and the plane "drops" a little... i got scared my first time.. usually the pilots will let u know tho.
