How likely can you survive if a plane is crashing?

Many passengers do survive a plane crash. It is the fire and fumes that is the big killer.

This has been investigated a lot. Sit near an emergency exit, be aware where it is located. Always use your seat belt. Have a blanket handy (if possible) to shield against fire.

C'mon!!!! Dont think about it. it's more likely to be hit by a car then get into a plane crash (even if u use the plane as often as the car).
But if someone does get into a plane crash - The severity of the injuries can be so bad, that maybe it's better to, like u said, "be doomed".

he could pull the steering thing an do a crash landing ,oh if there is an onboard fire there are fire extinguisher aboard the plane

haha who knows it al depends...on everything. haha if your going on a plane soon....dont be so paranoid.....think only good things...it helps i was scared and then i looked out the window and its sooo pretty (at 5:30 atleast =)

doesnt matter what the plane is doing, its how it hits the ground.

the pilot can try to pull on the controls to level the plane, but you try pulling 100 tons with very little hydrolic fluid left after a massive failure like that!!!

If you have a skilled pilot, and you probably do, there is a possibility that he will Yeager the plane into a safe configuration and landing.

Odds are though, it's game over.

At that point it's all in God's hands. Pray to the Almighty God above your pilot is Christian. If not, you may as well park it nose first into the side of a granite mountain.

Dead. All dead. The grim fact of plane crashes is the fact that as soon as it hits the land or water, it just disintegrates, along with its passengers.Its pretty rare for a pilot to recover something like this...but I personally wouldnt feel the slightest bit of hope if i was about to crash on a plane.
