I just flew from JFK to Honolulu in August.
The flight was about 9 hours that day mainly depended upon the headwinds. But it's that neighborhood. |

The only non-stop flight from the NYC area is from Newark on Continental. Flight times can be gleaned off their website when doing a dummy booking.
Otherwise your connections are pretty much unlimited! ORD, DFW, LAX, SFO are the main stops en-route but it depends which carrier you take. |

I don't think there are any or many direct flights from New York City to Hawaii more then likely you will have a layover in CA - The flight times would be approx 5 Hrs 39 Min from JFK to Los Angeles. Then the flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu would be approx. 5 Hrs 53 Min. You can get flight times for airports all over the world at https://www.jets.com/ |

Depends on the time of year...but about 9-9 1/2 flying to Hawaii and 8-9 flying back. That is whells up to wheels down, not including the taxi and ground time. With JFK you might want to add atleast an hour to the travel time. |

It would be about 9-9.5 hours depending on headwinds. Of course if you have a connection, which is very likely, somewhere between New York and Hawaii, you'll have to take that into account, as well. |
