Go to any online travel agent. Enter in the departure city/airport and the arriving city/airport along with any set of dates you want searching for direct flights. You'll get an idea of how long the flights will be scheduled for. Actual flying time will be about 30-45mins less than scheduled flying time. |

I would say as most of people here - it depends on where will you fly. Second thing is what kind of plane it will be.
I flew from London to NY and it took 6 hours, to Chicago it was 8hours and few minutes, and the longest to Los Angeles - 11 hours. I wish you a pleasant flight. |

it depends where in American you're flying to, the closer the london, obviously the shorter amount of time it'll take, and it also depends on the weather conditions etc. I flew to new york in about 6 and a half hours but then on the way back it only took around 6 hours for example |

Too bad that Concord doesnt fly anymore... it was 3 hours across Atlantic.
Regular cruising speed now is 850 km/hour. Projected path from London to New York for example is more 5585 km. it will take about 6.5 hours only the flight without counting time in procedures, translations, luggage, customs.. etc. |
