How long to you have to wait to get your bags after your plane lands?

I'm flying into Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and I was wondering how long you have to wait after you plane has landed to get your bags. I have only been on a plane twice before and they were both when I was little.

No more than thirty minutes for any airplane that will land at Reagan. Almost any flights that land there will have fewer than 200 passengers.

Usually around 30 mins, but depending on the airport, current airline traffic, weather, and multiple other factors it can take seveal hours.

Depends on the time of day and the airline. There are too many variables, it depends who is working at the time, the number of planes landing and also depends on how far your plane is from baggage claim. But it often takes me about 30 minutes to get my bags. I know airlines like Continental allow you to pay a little more money to make sure your bag is one of the first unloaded. I've never tried this before. It is best to pack light or just bring 2 carry-ons and not bother checking in any bags. You can also check in faster if you just bring 2 carry-ons.

well, the length of time really depends on how quickly the plane can be unloaded and the luggage tranported to the carousels...but that is influenced by whether or not there are a lot of other flights that landed around the same time and majority of the passengers have picked up their luggage, coz if they haven't then there could be a mini traffic jam and the luggage staff may have to come and physically remove luggage off the carousels to make space for more luggage to be put on...it could take anywhere from 20mins to an hour (i've even had to wait for up to 2 hours, but not at Ronald Reagan, though)...hope this helps!

Anywhere from ten minutes to an hour. It depends on how many people were on the plane and how fast the staff is. Make sure you attach something bright and distinctive like a ribbon to your bags so you'll be able to spot them quickly.

Well, I don't think it really takes that long to wait for them.. the baggage claim area's do seem to hate me. Every time we have to wait atleast 45 minutes for it because the last bag always lost it's tag or got in the end.. my first bag usually comes 30 minutes after everyone's searching for theirs.. So I don't sweat it or panic.. I know mine always comes last, we are the last people out of the area except the security officials. It's really quite annoying, but I guess next time we should use more powerful tape? Lol.

It doesn't take that long actually, just keep out a good eye (which I always have seemed to forget how my bag looks like! One tip is to REMEMBER), and make sure your labels are good, and you should be able to get it without fail unless it's in the end of the cargo. If it's an international flight then it might take longer, and if it's through nation or just is a small flight, it should take less time.

Have a pleasant flight =)

It really depends. From my experience it usually takes about 30 minutes.
