"Bang wollap." LOL!!! I haven't heard that one in a long time!
I just saw this on Discover channel on Sunday. A 747 lost power and they said it glided 15km for every 1km descent. |

Seconds, you would probably be dead before you even hit the floor. |

it depends on many things such as type of aircraft, weather, current fuel on board, passenger and cargo weight, atitude, pitch, roll, yaw etc......
if all engines flame out and it's pitch is level i'd say it could stay airbourne for an hour
ok ******;-) |

not too long i reckon |

oh my word stop it! i hate flying n i got to do it. ur makin it worse! |

depends if the pilot had control or not, if he had control he could glide down
with loss of control it's pure physics 32 ft per second per second (or is it 16??) |

How fast was it going? How much weight was it carrying? Was the wind behind it or in front of it? Was it falling straight down horizontally or nose diving?
You can't use half a maths equation to get an answer!........it's like saying what time will the bus arrive at my stop and not saying where you are going from!!...Best guess answer would be...it would crash as soon as it hit the earth!!! |

About 4 minutes in free fall. |

A:It wouldn't crash bang wallop, unless the wings fell off,it would glide down.
B:A plane travels about 10 miles horizontally for every mile it desends (I think).
C:Plane speed would be a factor, cruising speed usually 350 mph
so . . . . . . . my guess is . . . . . . . an hour or so ? |

This depends on the speed its travelling, presumably. At 38,000 feet per second it would prob not take that long to be honest |

to be honest you would be either already dead or screaming all the way down.. dont think u would be looking at ya watch to see how long it takes lol |
|

Depends on how fast the plane is going and what the wind speed is like. Are you on a plane and scared? |

it depends ,weather, type of sank .my dear crash ,with in seconds.forget about coming down to ground. |

34 minutes, freek. |

the answer depends on the state of the aircraft and degree of control retained. with no pilot / autopilot or perhaps the wings removed then the answer is a lot shorter than if there is a pilot fighting to control the crash.
without control the aircraft will accelerate toward the ground at a rate of 10 meters per second per second (each second the aircraft will be dropping 10m/s faster) until it reaches terminal velocity (which depends on the shape of the aircraft and its weight). |
