If you're flying nonstop it's about 3-4 hours. If you're going direct or making a connection it's longer depending on where you're going through. But there are plenty of nonstop flights.

if you fly accross the pacific it could take a couple of days....otherwise about 3 hours flight and they are 2 hrs ahead so you'll arrive 5 hrs later on your watch

It will take 4 hours to fly for LAX to ORD. That is time on the aircraft, time zones have no barring on this time. If you are looking at a airline reservation site it will look it will take 6 hours, this is were time zones come into effect. Those times are given in local time. Example: You leave L.A. at 6am (PT) and arrive in Chicago at 12noon (CT).

It takes about 4 hours to 4.5 hours.
No stops... Decent winds.
It takes about 3-4 hours to get from Chicago to Phoenix... LA isn't that far away from Phx.
