It depends on when you are traveling and what airport you are flying from. Some airports such as LaGuardia in New York City which are very busy you should arrive at least 90 minutes to 2 hours before your flight. If you fly from a small not-so-busy airport, 1 hour should be plenty of time. During summer travel or around Christmas time, you should arrive at least 2 hours before a domestic flight.

Typically they say you should arrive at least 1 hour before a domestic flight and 2 hours for an international one.

It depends of the airport and the time of day. I suggest that you check with your air carrier, the airport's website or at TSA.gov for guidance.

Hello,

If you are checking bags, they need to be checked at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time of your flight. You must be at the boarding gate 15 minutes prior to departure (airlines are authorized to delete your seat assignment and give it to someone else if you are not there on time). There are some exceptions for certain airports which you can view at the link in my "sources."

Have a great flight!

My airport/ airline asks me to be there at least 1 hour before the flight, but i normally arrive there an hour an a half before.

From one to two hours. If it's a really busy airport go 2 hours before, there are sometimes big lines to go through TSA checkpoints.

2 for domestic flights
3 for international
You usually don't need to be there THAT early, unless it's a holiday or something.

An hour is plenty of time unless you have to go through customs, in which case you should give yourself 2 just in case the lines are long

It depends upon the airport. Some are busier than others. For a large city, be there about 2.5 hours before your flight departs. For a small city, be there about 1.5 hours before.
