Depends on where you want to go, and if it's nonstop or not. I've done London-Houston non-stop in 10 hours, but you could do London-NYC closer to 8. London-Los Angeles must take around 13, I'd suspect.

America's a big place. Could take 11 hours or five.

It depends from where in England but more especially to which part of America. From London it takes roughly 6 hours to the east coast and up to 9 hours for the west coast. That is for a direct flight. It will be an hour longer at least if you stop in shannon or anywhere else before you land.

From Manchester to Orlando it takes about 9 hours, if you have the wind against you or a lot of turbulence then of course the time will be longer,if going on holiday many holiday brochures will give the flight times in them

The flight is nothing. What you should be wondering is how long will it take to get through bagage claim, customs, find a cab and get the hell out of Kennedy Airport (or Newark, or La Guardia) Beware of the Van Wick. :-)

Is this a serious question?? It depends of course on which part of the country you live, and where to go in UK, Boston - London approx 10 hours.
