Can I ask why you want to know????

Doogie
OMG !!! I have to answer this question just to comment on the above answers.

First of all... Harley D...
They are RUDDER pedals... not RUBBER pedals.

Second... Everybody Knows Me...
If you are soooo obsessed with airplanes, then maybe you should learn something about them. There are two pedals for the pilot. They are called "Rudder Pedals". The left pedal causes the plane to yaw left, the right pedal causes the plane to yaw right. The top (toes) of each pedal controls the brakes.

The pedals operate the rudder which is the hinged part of the vertical stabilizer on the tail of the aircraft. Rudder pedals also have brake controls in the toe, and they also operate the nose wheel, or tail wheel for turning while on the ground.

poppy!
Two.

Martin G
Unless the aircraft is a single seater, then there are usually 4 - left and right rudder pedals for the Pilot and Co-Pilot.

Homer Baby
depends how many seats there are.

Mr. Peachy®
Four. Two for the pilot, two for the co-pilot.

'Nuff said?

Most have 2 sets one for the pilot and the other for a copilot or student that would be a total of 4 and the pedals are called rudder peddles.

The rudder works to control the yaw of the plane. The pilot moves rudder left and right, with left and right pedals. I'd say there are four rudder/brake pedals in all... plus a pair of footrests next to them.

Stephen H
If you mean pilot controls, then two normally

It has 2 rubber pedals that operate the nose

everybody knows me
Well There should be 2 for the pilot and 2 for the co pilot its not really 2 its just one but sometimes the pilot is more comfortable with his or he right foot than left or vice versa.
