How much more money is 1st class than coach?

It depends on the flight- where you are going, what airline, how much other people on that flight have paid for their seats, how soon the flight is, if it is during a high travel season, how desperate they are to sell those last seats or how high in demand they are.. there are so many factors that contribute. You can go to travelocity, expedia, etc. to put in where you are going and when and you can get a better idea of what the prices are.
You would probably spend at least $1000.

It all depends on what type of plane, how long the flight is, etc.

If you're flying domestic, within the United States, it is usually a few hundred dollars more.

If you're flying internationally, 1st classes tickets can easily exceed $10,000 (USD).

The airlines have a secret. Actually, they have several, but this one's the most useful: In many cases, you can buy a first-class ticket for little more than the walkup coach fare. The trick is searching for a fare code designation that's called a "Yup" or a "Q-up."

How do you find these magical fares? Check out FareCompare.com, which has an online tool that searches specifically for them. Recently I was able to nab a first-class seat from New York to Atlanta for $649 - only $100 more than the available coach fare. Y- and Q-ups won't be cheap when compared with advance-purchase fares, but they're not much more than a last-minute coach ticket.

it's about 150 to 300% depends if the city is popular ex. Newark to Madrid coach 670$ first class 1500$. Newark to Barcelona coach 500$ first class 700$. just because Madrid is more popular than Barcelona.

First class is definitely not just a few hundred more, even domestically. Maybe with a cheap upgrade, but not when buying a direct fare.

For example, on US Air shuttle flights from Washington to Boston, roundtrip coach fare is about 200, while first class is 1,300 dollars. Personally, I think first class is worth on flights longer than about 3 hours when you will really appreciate the space.

Take a splurge and buy the higher first class fare. I don't think you'll regret it. Have a nice flight =]

sometimes it is almost twice as much. I know with frequent flyer points it is 25K for coach and 45K for first class. In other words, not worth it. Get up, walk and stretch...............

To-day between 3/4 to 7 times moer expensive depending on itinerary and dates and airlines!

Try to buy a full Y fare, that will get you up-graded if at all possible.

it really depends on what airline your flying with and where you getting you ticket from sometimes you get good prices and sometimes bad so just kinda serch around.......but usually between 75-200$
