Go to www.seatguru.com - you can look up your airline & they'll give you specifics.

It all depends on the airline. And of course on whether you are flying first class or coach. There is no standard width for the seats in an airplane. Each airline can set them up however they want. If you fly a discount airline like Southwest, for example, they are going to stick about 50 extra seats into the same plane.

It depends on the airline that you will traveling on as to what size the seat is - also it depends if you are traveling in first class or coach. I would say you should call your airline an ask them.

Have a great flight!

The width of any seat on commercial airliners like Boeing 737 will depend upon the customers choice of seat manufacturers. However, the standard seat width information from Boeing's website is 17" for 6 abreast seating (Economy class: 3 seats - aisle - 3 seats), 19" for 5 abreast seating (Business class: 3 seats - aisle - 2 seats or vice versa) and 21" for 4 abreast seating (First class: 2 seats - aisle - 2 seats). Here is Boeing's website with 737's cross section.

http://www.boeing.com/commercial/737family/pf/pf_cross_section.html

Also, if you want more detailed technical information about the seat width for all Boeing 737 models, check their PDF files on 737. The seat width information is on pages 63 to 67 on the document or 53 to 57 on the PDF paging system.

Since the interior of the aircraft is 139.2 inches, you are limited on changing the width of seats.

I'll bet if you call the airline you're travelling on, they can give you the dimensions.

Hey -- undeadMonkey -- awesome tip about seatguru.com. Thanks! UnDeadMonkey gets "best answer" from me!
