How would you react aboard a hijacked passenger airliner ?

** FICTITIOUS hijacking scenario here ***

lets say there are 12 terrorists in total and there are between 300-350 passengers (cabin crew, pilots inclusive) aboard the airplane.

The terrorists identify themselves to be a break-away faction of a Shia militant organization 'The Mahdi Army' , and have issued demands from a remote HQ buried deep underground as a live broadcast to millions across the globe.

The demands: A complete withdrawal of UK troops from Iraq - or else they will crash the plane into a highly populated metropolis somewhere in Europe.

The politely remind you that your cheerful blue eyed infidel pilot was killed a few minutes ago, and that he 'squeeled like a pig' as the knife severed his windpipe. The news makes some people cry, including some grown married men who are now nothing but former shells of their supposed masculine selves.

To further ensure you that they aren't messing around, one of the hijackers appears out of the cockpit clutching the severed head of one of the dead pilots and says ''this is the fate of those who do not cooperate, cooperate and you shall have a pleasant flight. Meals will be served shortly, please fasten your seatbelts and keep your mouths shut".

Do you:

a) conspire with a few passengers to launch a surprise 'physical attack' on one or more of these hijackers, in the hope you'll overwhelm them and somehow steer the plane back to ground safely ?

b) create a diversion (a panic attack, a passenger air-rage fight, get rat assed and demand more alcohol etc) ?

c) just count the minutes on your watch, and hope that your government gives in to their demands ?

d) try to find a chute and make a jump for it , might as well save your own hide - to hell with the rest right ?
