You are far less likely to die in a car accident than you are in a plane crash. I fly 2-3 times a month and I love it. I'm afraid of driving (seriously!)
And to the person who gave the advice to do things within driving distance: did you miss the fact that they live in Kentucky? |

i can see why you would be afriad of flying... but dont be because that would be letting "THEM" win : )

Write your Senator and Congress Representative and ask for a nation wide system of passenger rail. Like they have in Europe and Japan. If our economy is going to compete with them we need to get people where they want to be weather it's for work or vacation without the dependance of a car. |

Whether u are afraid or not...For your information million peoples fly in daily basis...
If it is your fate that you are going to die then no one can stop it but YOU KNOW THAT YOU CANT LIVE FOR 1000 YEARS or you are not an angel to get something very specially from god that you'll never die...You are going to die sooner or later therefore it doesnt mean that you shall fear about something which has not yet happened if you have done nothing wrong and even u does still GOD can forgive you if u realize your sin...
There are people who drives car & motor cycles backward and i saw in AXN channel that one guy rides the Bicycle on top of a building with no safety gears...He ride it until the edge of the building...
If u fear to do something good then you'll spend all your life with no improvement or no real fun...These dayz young peoples are going for for war knowing that they could be killed but still they have the determination that they do something good for their country regardless about the consequences whether it is good or bad...But if u face problems with lack of financial then my advise would be to drive rather then taking flight which would be expensive....

Go fly!
The safest days to fly are immediately after an Alert. Security will never be better. Flights will be cheaper and less crowded. You are still safer flying than driving If you let these events terrorize you into curtailing your freedom, the terrorists win. |

FLY. There is nothing to be afraid of. You are more likely to die walking to work than on plane as a result of terrorism. (Ignore above comment if flying from Kabul to Baghdad) |

please bear in mind that since 9/11 the states has had so many times of "high/red" alerts and rumors that never came to anything. most of the recent airline panics have been nothing more than that...unfounded worries. yes, there have been bomb plots--and there were even before 9/11 (think scotland). and there has been and always will be those who "act funny" or "suspicious" due to anxiety or drunkeness. in short, there's more liklihood of a car wreck than being in a plane accident of any sort, but because those accidents are more uncommon and involve more than a few people, they are jumped on by the media for ratings. if you cannot find a place you would like to visit within car or bus distance (watch out for all those drunk drivers, road ragers, people not paying attention as they drive, and in-general idiots!), then there is really no reason to avoid flying. excepting maybe the waiting in the airport for various reasons..... |

Do not let fear prevent you from enjoying life. You only live once, after all, might as well enjoy it! :) Besides, as my gramma used to say "You ain't goin' nowhere 'til it your time anyhow"!
Have a great vacation and ENJOY!!!!! :) |

There is always Greyhound or Amtrack. Bus tours take the itch out you having to drive but they have a schedule to follow. Do research. There's alot to do. |

Are you afraid to drive in your car? That's much more dangerous than flying. Get you butt in the plane and go on vacation. |

there are so many alternatives to flying. a cruise, guided train excursions, chatered bus,ec........ alot of people think a vacation means you have to leave your home state, not true. Here in my home state there are so many beautiful places to see and interesting places to go. Perhaps you shouldcheck that out.Shouldnt require alot of travell but would provide one on one time for you and yopur husband while getting away from the everyday rigors of home life |

Depending on where you live, you can always stay at a bed & breakfast or maybe a hotel with a jacuzzi in your suite. You can live like vacationers in your own town, going to places you wouldn't normally go to. Or maybe you could travel to some place just an hour away or so and do this. You can always go to a visitor's center in a nearby town to find some places unknown to you- gardens and nature centers, bike trails, whatever fits your personalities and interests. Have a good time! |
