I'll be flying to asia(29 hr flight)..what can i do to help not be bored during flight other than sleeping?

A 29 hour flight? I doubt it. From where to where?

Anyway, similar (but more believable) questions are posted every day. Try reading a few of those answers.

If someone sold you a ticket for a 29 hour flight to Asia, you've been had. The longest flight to Asia is between New York and Singapore and it averages about 18 hours. Check with your airline - many if the asian carriers offer terrific inflight entertainment products! I've played poker, watched an unlimited selection of movies and shows on my personal television from my seat in coach class on Singapore Airlines!

no such thing as a 29 hour flight... the longest commerical flight is between 17-18 hours...you must be connecting somewhere.

Most airlines on long flights will use their newer, better aircraft more times than not. So you should have a TV in the seat infront of you. There are generally a few current movies, TV shows, Documentaires, cartoons and games on there - and you get to see where you are flying over.

Otherwise take the normal...book, ipod, PSP. Also get a window seat so when it is daytime, you can see out the window and see little towns or villages, rivers, ocean (which would be 75% of the trip), mountains etc.

and during your connection, have a shower at the airport to stay 'fresh' and to relax a bit more than you can on the aircraft.

A 29 hour flight is not possible, without stopping. Do you have connections to make? If you do, then your total travel time may be 29 hours. If not, then I believe you are mistaken. If you are looking at the flight departure and flight arrival times, you have to keep in mind that the times listed are for the local time zones. You can search for your flights on kayak.com to find out what the actual flight time is. Or you can figure out the time zones, and do the math that way.

That being said, bring a good book or two, and ipod, portable dvd player (so you can watch what you want, and not what the airline has to offer), if the airline is playing something good then watch that, if you are flying with other people you can bring some games (cards are great), puzzle books (sudoku, crossword, wordsearch, etc). Sleeping on your flight is a good idea. It will help you adjust to the change in time zones. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration and jet lag!!!

Bring paper and write a short story or draw. Making conversation helps too. Bring a portable DVD player and a few extra batteries and do a movie marathon!

All you can do is , listening music with Ipod or Zunes , watching DVD movies or series with laptop , watching some channels or playing games on air planes TV screen , walking around airplanes , eating .....hope it help :)

To be completely honest you probably wont be too bored.
I recently flew to England from Australia and then back home again from Rome and I barely used anything other than my iPod for an hour or so out of the 24.
Most of the time I watched the movies that were on.

I did come quite prepared for boredom though -
i downloaded movies on to both my ipod and iphone (fully charged)
i brought two books and five magazines
a pack of cards to play with my sister
a diary to write in
a book of sudoku puzzles
my macbook with a few games to keep me entertained.

all of these were good to have just for peace of mind but in the end i didn't really use any of it.

Bring some paper and pencils so you can draw.

Bring some books, so you can read.

You can stay entertained with the airplane's radio. They give you a headset, you plug it into the arm rest and you get around 60 channels to surf around on.

Try not to become too stiff. Walk down the aisles once a while.

Although the view might be slow and boring, sometimes you can spot some interesting scenes below you.

3) come up with a way to join the mile high club without getting caught
4) apply some game to a hot flight attendant
5) throw some game to hot seat neighbors
6) screw flight attendant/chic in lavatory
7) Drink
8) drink some more
9) Read an insane book
10) think
11) count every wrinkle on the back of your hand
12) listen to every comedian on an ipod, make sure they talk for hours
13) make everyone sing with you on the plane make sure your drunk
14) fly intoxicated it will make time go by faster.
