Airlines have their own specific policies or rules and also the airports.
In this case, I believe you need a Photo Id and your parent (s) approbation since you will flight alone as a minor. Therefore, the airline becomes responsible for your wellbeing. They will hang up something in your neck that will contain documents.
The best way to go is to take your Id (you will need it anyways, you cannot be on the street without an Id) and ask your mom/dad to write a letter that states that they let you flight to Toronto by yourself attach a photocopy of her/his Id.
I am sure you will not need anything else. Unless, the airline has a document/ contract that they need your parents to sign.
Just to be sure, go to the airport with mom, dad or both and take your Id and letter with you.
Next time, when you buy your ticket ask for this kind of information to the seller or call the airline just to be 100% sure.
Good luck and have a wonderful time!

No. Not unless you are traveling out of the country. I am 13. When I fly within my home country(USA), I don't need an ID. If you fly out of the country at any age, you need your passport., which is your ID if you can't drive yet. |

not if you have a passport but I'm assuming you don't so probably. the drivers licensing places will issue you one, it costs around $25 and should come in a week or two in the mail(that's how it works in Alberta anyways). i suggest getting a passport, it traveling so much easier. |

Bringing a school Id is probably best in this post 9/11 world. Since the security is pulled to a level orange a photo id is required in most metropolitan airport. Yes you need a passport in traveling to other countries. |

Probably to get through security. But if you're going to Toronto from the U.S., then you probably will need that and/or a birth certificate. |
