I guess it will depend what countries laws they go by as USA is 21 and France is 16.Seeing it's a Frhttp://www2.potsdam.edu/hansondj/LegalDrinkingAge.htmlench Airline, most likely. |

It depends on what the airline's regulations are. Try calling Air France and asking them what the age limit is. |

You don't need to ask. Just say red or white when the stewardess comes around with the wine for your meal. |

Yes they will, the drinking age on airlines is determined by the laws of the country where the airline is registered, since the drinking age in France is 16, you should be fine. |

yes you will be serve alcohol to you. most airlines rule on alcoholic beverage is at 18yrs of age. just make sure you will not be unruly, or annoingto them. always ask in a nice way. and don't ask alcoholic drinks at the same time. ask 1 at a time and don't ask continiously . most airlines give up to 3 drinks continiously. give a gap so that the crew would not mind giving you drinks. |

Age limits go by the nationality of the airline. In this case, Air France is French. Their age limit is 16 so the answer would be yes unless Air France itself has adopted another policy.

I will say that they are not really strict about checking these things here in France anyway. Keep in mind that if you act out of control, or misuse alcohol onboard, they can't use the age limit but other rules, mainly having to do with interference and conduct, will come into play. Culturally, getting really smashed is really looked down upon by the French. The Air France crew would not hesitate to step in if things got ugly.
Just as a tip, the French drink wine only with their meals. Hard liquor is also not that popular.
Remember too that alcohol, like all drugs, is stronger at altitude. The pressurization in the cabin is 10,000ft, which is pretty high up already and it can quickly go to your head. Even if you're used to drinking, it can be tricky.
Alcohol is also very dehydrating, as are airplanes so the combination can be unpleasant and add to any jetlag.
France has wonderful wine and food but you have to be careful about moderating both when over here. I would actually skip the mediocre stuff on the airplane and enjoy the "real" wine once over here, in a more pleasant and secure location than a crowded airplane. |
