Hi there. I am also claustrophobic and I fly a lot to America. I find it helps me to get an aisle seat --just knowing I can get up makes me feel calmer. Watching the films--especially a mindless comedy--takes my mind off of it and helps 2 hours go by quite quickly. Pretend you are in the cinema!! If you have an ipod or MP3 player, bring it with lots of music that you enjoy.

Do you get claustrophobic on a bus? Well it's a lot bigger than a bus and you get a smoother ride. You also get a film to watch, food and drink. Ask for an aisle seat and then you won't be hemmed in by other passengers and can get up and walk around when you want. Enjoy the experience. It's totally boring at the airport though waiting to go and then at the other end, waiting to pick up your luggage.

Like a bus,but longer.Don't forget your MP3 player or favorit book.

You'll be fine and remember, if you really think you are getting a panic attack you can always hide in the toilet for a little peace and quiet.

it depends on where you live. you still live in North America, then the flight shouldn't be that long. If you are going on a domestic flight then they really don't give you tvs but if you are going on an international flight they will definatley give you a tv. It's a smooth ride so you should't have to worry much about that.Be careful of what you eat though because may get airsick and you pretty much know what happens when you get airsick(not trying to scare you). Try avoiding bad combinations and you will do fine.
Hope this helps

its the best thing ever, taking off is the best bit and landing is cool too. The plane hardly shakes but when t does they warn you. Generally a smooth flight. Although you WILL get bored. i watched a film and took a big magazine and had my mp3 player with me and i still managed to get bored so take things to do.
my advice is stay up all day, then when you get on the plane you can sleep and the time will fly by.

airline travel is the safest mode of transport in the world. for # of passengers transported to the # injured or killed is like 500million - 1. its the safest mode of transport.
you know you love me
long, about 9-hours. take some sleeping-pills along with you just in case then you won't realise that your in a confined space.
