You hav to stop thinking about it so much. Flying is safer than driving.... and relax yourself on the plane..listen to music... or whatever works for you... |

just plan activities to do on the plane to keep you busy. you could read, bring a laptop, take a nap, etc. |

if you bring something to keep your mind off the ride then that may help like a book or mp3 player/ipod/cd player. really what ever will keep your mind off it. or you can go online and search different types of breathing exercises to do that will calm you when on the flight. |

Maybe speak to your GP and see if he will prescribe you a couple of Valium for the flights... |

You can always talk to your doctor about getting prescribed an anti-anxiety pill such as xanex. It is becoming very common for people to take a small doseag before travelling and it doesn't seem to impair your motor skills. Another option is that you can always arrive at the airport 2 hours early and enjoy a few cocktails before your flight. Or both |

Talk to people (maybe the person sitting next to you).
Tell the Steward (ess), because they may have hints, and get paid for it.
If you are not too big, be glad that you are not some basketball player jetting between cities and trying to fit in a tiny passenger space. |

I agree, just try to relax. Easier said than done, right? Bring a book, crossword puzzles, wordsearches, sudoku...something to keep you busy, and your mind off how nervous you are. Flying is safer than driving. Also remember that your crew has gone through extensive training on how to keep you safe. If turbulence scares you, just remember, a plane has NEVER gone down due to turbulence!! I hope you have a great trip! |

You must focus yourself on the joy of the flying and not on the fear of it's risk, think up there how beautiful it's the sky,the clouds, soon we all will travel among the stars when the humankind will not be living in a single planet and we'll admire comets passing by,always think at the beauty of your experiences and on what can happen otherwise you'll not taste the joy of life. |

What a wonderful experience you are going to have. Though 2 hours, try getting a window seat. If possible travel at night. My first experience was a 13 hour flight. Through the cloudless night skies over north India, was the most beautiful sights i have ever seen. I think we are far safer in a plane than on a land vehicle. Have no fear look through the window with a positive attitude. You would wish the two hours had been 20 hours. |

Do not think.
And pray. It helps.
Alternate hint: listen to music. And it helps to look out and enjoy the scene.
If that is not what u like, talk to someone or read.
Wish u best |

Bring with some calming music, preferably with noise-cancelling headphones and try to relax. |

I had the same problem a few years ago. It may be advisable to talk with your physician and ask him for some prescription meds (like Valium). He can prescribe just a "few" for the trip and it will make you feel more relaxed. Also take a good book to read, or if you happen to be sitting beside someone on the plane who enjoys chatting ... start up a conversation. It will make the trip go by much faster and will take your mind off of the flight. |

Bring your laptop, or DVD player and watch a movie, or a good book or puzzle book, keep your mind occupied |

Arrive at your departure airport at minimum of 2 hours and 15 minutes before your flight. Have a light meal. Go to the Gents/Ladies before the flight and go to the Immigrations. Remove belts/things in your pocket or any metal things. Then, walk pass the metal detector and collect your hand carry luggage. If the metal detector beeps, follow a person and put your arms parallel to the floor and he/she will scan you. Once you are done, they will stamp your passport. Then, shop around the airport and arrive the gate about latest 40 minutes before departure. They will tear the boarding pass and return the other half to you. Then, go to your seat, put on your safety belt and rest. They will show you an emergency video and then it goes up in the air and most airlines will then serve you a face towel and once done, return back to the F/A. If there is PTV on flight, enjoy it , if not solve 2 Sudoku Puzzles. Have some water. Try to refrain from drinking alcohol or caffeine on the flight . Then it goes down and you walk out the gate and just thank or bow to them. Then you go to the immigrations and chop your passport and then go to the Baggage Claim. Collect your check in luggage and you can go.
Have a nice flight. |

Take a pill. I usually just pass out on the plane anyways to make the flight go faster because I cant sit there for hours doing nothing so sleeping is always nice. |

Don't think about the fact that very few planes crash. That the landing gear almost always locks into place for landing and if it doesn't it's a fun slide. That the bouncing of the plane is only turbulance and that you are going to be fine. If there is a storm, lighting can take down a plane but rarely does. You should be fine. |

Distract your self. Read a book. Talk with someone. Go to sleep. It will be hard if you keep thinking about it. We just took a resent trip to Cancun and we took our 13 month old daughter at the time and we thought she was going to freak. But we distracted her, she played and she napped and everything was fine. I was the one worry because here I am taking a trip to a country I've never been to with out a passport. %^&* I'm still worried because here we are back home and still no passport. |

yeah keep busy. Flying is a relaxing experiance! well to me anyhow. I would bring a movie to watch. Short flight though really. If your into drugs, then like others mentioned, take a valium or something of that nature, or as another mentioned, which I am not condoning, but smoke a joint. It will relax you quite a bit! Good luck! |
