I'm going to Taiwan in about 2 months, and never been on an airplane before!! Help me!?

You'll be fine, the airline staff will help you out when they know you're travelling un-accompanied. I can also assure you that you'll have lots and lots of sex when you get older. It's great fun.

You don't have to worry. I just flew from San Francisco to Singapore. Airplanes are the safest form of transportation and airplane crashes are very rare. They only make news because they are so rare.

Tighter security measures are in place after the whole 9/11 incident such as cockpit doors being secured so that no one can bolt into the cockpit and take control of the aircraft. Also there are air marshalls on selected flights. They look just like ordinary passengers so if anything happens, they will spring into action.

Taiwan should be a lot of fun. I went there in 1997. A lot of good food. Plus it will be good to see your grandparents. It seemed as though every time I saw my grandparents, they gave me money. Kind of a Chinese tradition.

Oh wow... isn't that like a 14 hour flight or something? That's a long time to be on a plane over the ocean too.
But seriously, don't sweat it. Once you do it, you'll see it's not bad at all.
The chances of terrorist or plane failure is very very very rare.
Security is tight and the planes are checked out before departure.
Make sure you check out the rest rooms while in flight...

Don't worry. Think about the THOUSANDS of planes that fly around each day. It's not like we hear about a plane crash everyday; in fact, its pretty infrequent to hear about a plane crash. Thus planes are reliable modes of transportation.

Once again, don't worry! It will be worth it when you get there!

relax...once you are on the plane, it isn't so scary.
you can hardly tell you're on a plane. It kinda feels like a movie theatre. they even show movies on the plane! that will distract you from your anxieties a bit. You can also take something like Unisom to help you sleep the time away. Enjoy your trip!

You will have a great time! There will be a stewardess looking out for you. Take some gum. Chewing it helps you not get an earache because it equalizes the air pressure inside your ear when the plane takes off and lands.
Don't worry a bit about terrorist attack. They now have US Marshalls on all overseas flights. Sometimes they are undercover. If they are not they will be in the first and last row wearing sunglasses. My uncle is one! Don't worry about a plane crash, either. The statistics are so low that this would happen that no one worries a lot about it. Just think. If there WAS a risk the ticket prices would be about 2/3 cheaper.
