I don't think it would cost much at all, maybe nothing.

The search phrase you should use is: "Children traveling unaccompanied". If you do a search with that phrase and the name of the airline, you'll find the information you need. For example, United's policy (source shown below) is that service is mandatory for unaccompanied minors 5 to 11 years old and optional for 12- to 17-year-olds. United's fee is $99 one-way except when you're flying to or from Japan.

Why not just bring a friend? Then it would only cost the price of the ticket.

There is no charge for that service.

It all depends on the airline you are traveling with. Some airlines will charge unaccompanied minors a fee ranging from $20 - $99 per sector to employ a "nanny service" or someone to watch you while in flight.

Some airlines do this service for free. An unaccompanied minor is normally a child aged 5 - 16 traveling alone. The person bringing them to the airport will have to show form of ID and fill out forms for the person picking them up on the other end. Please note that the person picking up the child must have all correct information and form of ID because most airlines will not relinquish custody with out proper ID.

There most definitely is an unaccompanied minor charge. It is about $100-$150.

Just find an airline that will let you fly by yourself. Many of them will.

trust me you dont need a flight attendant to fly with you. all you do is sit there, and youll probably fall alseep depending on how long the flight is. And a flight attendant is not going to be able to sit with you for the entire flight.... they have other responsibilities, but they will make sure you are ok.

Cherry
If you will be travelling as unaccompanied minor, stop thinking that the flt attendant will seat beside you... There will be somebody who will guide you through ncustoms and will keep you in the airport 'til the person who will fetch you arrives but NOBODY is going to seat beside you... ( Atleast airline personnel is aware that you are travelling alone) ... And the FEE? It depends on the airline...

depends on the airline ... usually around $75 per segment of the trip.
