hey(:
im 14 & im flying with my 8 year old sister [completely alone, no
one with me & her] on tuesday, december 16th(:
ive flown bymyself [completely alone] many times.
but since youll have a flight attendant with you:
AT THE AIRPORT:
●if you have time before your flight ask if you can check in
the various stores they have. browse for items, buy things, & look
around
●get something to eat. theres nothing like a full stomach(: you may
not want to eat the airplane food, so try eating before. eating makes
time fly & makes you full.
●buy some magazines, gifts for friends/family, or snacks for
the airplane ride
IN THE PLANE:
●get comfortable, i know its not easy [especially if your in economy] but relax, loosen your seatbelt, & if they provide blankets & pillows
use them!
●listen to an ipod or mp3 player. they really make time fly(:
●if you have a nintendo DS or a gameboy, play it. time will pass
quickly.
●sleep, im sure youll be going through many time zones. & the
best way to catch up on your sleep & ease tiredness would be
to sleep.
●11 hours is a really long time, so im sure theyll play a movie or two.
to keep yourself occupied, try watching the movie.
●eat & drink. many people feel tired, sick, & weary on planes. alot
of times its bc your hungry & dehydrated and you may not know it.
[drinks are free so be sure to get some water or other drinks, also
for an 11 hour flight, snacks are usually complimentary too.]
●stand up and walk around. legs tend to get tired easily on planes
& they can cause swelling feet & ankles. every hour or so, get up
and walk down the aisle of the plane. go somewhere near the lavatory
[where you are out of the way] & stretch yourself out.
good luck(:
& i know what you mean by long flights.
ive been flying since i was 5months old.
now im 14 and ive flown 60 plus times.(:
the longest ive flown, 22 hours. that was hell on a plane.
anyways, im going to london on tuesday. thankfully,
its only a 7 and a half hour flight. |

Bring a couple books to read. Bring any homework you have to get done with you too! If you are into small electronic games, take one with you but nothing huge.
There are special neck pillows that you can take with you and also blindfolds and ear plugs you can use to make sleeping a little easier if you are in the economy seats.
Make sure you have a telephone number of your parents with you. Also, an address might come in handy. Ask them what to do when you go through customs and immigration. |

it depends.. if you're flying first class or buisness you could get a laptop and it could be charged on flight...
other wise get yourself a few good books incase you get sick of the other ones. or a notebook to draw. ipods are good :)
have a safe flight |

I find flying pretty boring. You are taking a really long flight. I would sleep. You will be eating and having something to drink. Bring something to read. They will have movies that you can watch. Bring headphones to listen to music. Basically, bring anything that you enjoy doing. |

get a book. when I was your age, I liked a book called The Thief of Always by Clive Barker. It is an adult level book, but you seem to have grammar and whatnot down, so you would probably be able to understand it. |

Read a book, listen to music, watch the in-flight movie, play video games, read Skymall or sleep! |

What are you so worried about? if your only 12 and your parents paid someone to go with you, then you should be ok, unless if that person that your parents paid is some kind of stranger to you.
But if your talking about what to do on the plane because plane rides can be pretty boring, then bring some enterainment like a gameboy, ipod, laptop, ect. or a really good book, besides, most airplanes have installed little tvs so that you can watch tv shows or moives and stuff. |

With that kind of flight they should play movies, so you can watch those. Other things you could do is-
*Do puzzles(crossword, word searches, suduko...)
*read
*listen to music
*text or call people from your phone(if you have one)
*bring a laptop(if you have one)
*write a book(lol)
*remember to eat, drink, and rest |

What do you mean ideas of what to do? What to do when you get bored on the plane? Rubiks Cube (I solved the Rubiks cube about 20 times on my way to florida). Any small handheld electronics? Crossword Puzzles. A camera. Film some things on the way. |

I live really close, and I am leaving on the 24th to London alone, not even someone to accompany! 8 hr flight. And I am 13.
Ok, so! Depending on your airline (Probably American Airlines or Aerolineas Argentina) you will have Tv's where they show movies, shows, and you can play games. You can also bring an I-pod and listen to music. Of course, you can always sleep or look out the window. Don't forget, it is always interesting to talk to the people that are next to you!
Have a safe flight! |
