The most dangerous thing about flying is the drive to and from the airport.
The airport is tedious and the flying is fairly boring. |

Nope.
The first time I went abroad was last year when I was 14.
I was dreading it but I loved it.
The taking off bit was a bit scary I suppose because its fast and noisy but everything else is fine.
The best place to sit is at the window. The views are amazing.
I'm guessing this is your first time on a plane but they are fine. Once I got on I felt a bit silly because there were loads of other people on there who wereacting normal.
It kind of puts you at ease.
Hope this helps x |

you are like 1000 times more likely to die traveling to the airport then you are dying in a plane crash. the pilots are very well trained, to be a captain you have be flying like 5000 hours! |

I have only just started using planes myself. The first time I started using them, i found the scariest part was the thrust leading to take-off.
But on my second flight, I got used to it. |

Nope, they take off and you get a little exited and then you`ll be bored flying about 2 hours later.
The clouds are beautiful, you`ll love them!
The worst part is popping your ears but after than, you`ll be just fine. |

No.
The feeling in your stomach may feel weird at first and your ears pop.
They are not scary you have nothing to worry about. One of the safest ways to travel. |

First time yes, but I have a few hints that will help
On take off read a book or magazine as I found myself getting a bit dizzy once the plane is in the Air all will be ok its a really strange feeling but as time goes on it dissipates with each flight.
Oh and chew some gum to help your ears from popping.
After your first flight you will love it I promise
Have a ball ok |

Much safer than cars!
Cars are, of course, one of the biggest killers.
In Britain alone 3,172 people died in road accidents in 2006
1.2 million wordwide.
All above figures EXCLUDE injuries or pullution related deaths.
That's one hell of a disease!
The seventh biggest killer in the world, ahead of diabetes and malaria. The WHO predicted that by 2020 road deaths would become the number three killer, behind heart disease and suicide, although Aids is now a much bigger threat than when that forecast was made.
Yet international funding for Aids, malaria and TB was $4.7bn over the last seven years, compared with about $100m for road safety. |

yes they are, but i still go on them. |

Geez a Drink.

Well i think they are, but that's just me.
I warned my friend about them and she came back saying she loved flying!
So you can only tell when you get on one. The toilet flushes are probably more scary for most! |

Airports are scarier! Arrive early and be prepared to go through all sorts of security. I used to fly internationally often. Not just the U.S. has tough security at airports. Australia has the friendliest.
Wear something comfortable and sensible shoes. Make sure that your be prepared to open any checked or carry-on luggage and pack so when you open it it can go back together easily. (use plastic bags to sort things...like bottles, socks and undies...if they are in a clear plastic bag it is less likely the screeners. will handle your private wearables.)
I know the last time I traveled I spent more time at the airport than I did in the air! The actual flight is easy. Take a pair of earphones and listen to your favorite toons and relax. I usually sleep when I fly. You can ask your doctor for flight sick pills and they usually help you sleep and keep you from getting air sick. (there are some over the counter medicine here in the states, but I don't know what is available there so ask a pharmacist if you don't want to see a doctor.) |
