Yes it is okay. I've just come back from USA and my kids brought loads of chocolate home for their friends. We had no trouble at customs.

It is yes, we were in Australia earlier this year and we took 3 bags of Quality Street throw outs, 2 big bars of Cadburys fruit and nut, requests from my cousin and we took them in no problem whatsoever, have a lovely trip, Australia is amazing.

Chocolate is allowed in, in just about any quantity. I think the only limitation would come into play if it exceeds your duty free allowance ($400). One suggestion, if it's very "dense" chocolate (such as fudge), you might want to separate it from the rest of your items. Otherwise it might appear as a solid block on the x-ray.

Yes I believe it is.

Don't be too confident about carrying chocs into Australia. I flew to Perth last year, from Japan, UK citizen, was carrying a banana and some crisps. On arrival one of the sniffer dogs at the airport latched on to me, I got my bags searched, had to give up the banana and the crisps, my passport number was taken and I got warned that if I ever try to enter Aus again carrying food I might be in seious trouble. To be honest I don't know how seriously to take this. I mean a banana and crisps! It doesn't exactly rank in smuggling circles. They do seem to be very strict about that kind of thing though.

You should check out exactly what you're allowed to take in before you go.

Dee
take as many choco bars as she needs...
no restriction on those...

dairy products, as milk, yogurt, fresh/raw veggies and fruits are not allowed... and particularly meats are not allowed...
