I am going to turn 32 in about 4 months, want to become a pilot since I was a kid, do you think it is too late |
About 6 years back took some flying lessons also got my private pilots license, but was too expensive at that time and gave up on my dreams. Wanted to find out that if I start at age 32 when can I become a captain or flight officer for a major airline.
Have looked at some schools in FL(delta connections and Phoenix East) currently living in DC, any suggestions will be helpfull. Also if some one knows the time frame how long it takes from starting the classes to actually start making some $$$.
Thank You!!! |

You not too old, but definitely a little behind. I would suggest if you already have your private pilots license that you attend something like you said Delta Connection, etc... they can get you through the ratings at a quicker pace then a normal flight school, as well as they can get your foot in the door of a commuter airline.
Hope this helps and good luck! |

It is never too late my friend. You have only one life to live, so do what you want with it. |

Go for it. I know quite a few pilots who started later. Be aware that their is a required retiring age for pilots (I believe it is 60, although by time you reach that it will proably be higher) but that will still give you a decent amount of time in your career. |

It shouldn't be a problem getting a license now. |

You are only 32 not 82. You can definitely still become a pilot. You have to remember many times great people don't do great things until their later years in life. Don't worry you haven't missed the boat. Good luck and congratulations for finding your passion in life! |
