I can't print my e-ticket for my flight - am I ok just showing an ID at the counter?

I don't own a printer, which is stupid of me. I emailed the confirmation page to myself, just in case, but I was wondering if I have to print it out in order to get the boarding pass. Am I all right showing my ID at the ticket counter? Or should I write down all the page info, so I can tell them the ticket number and all of that?

Driving is so much easier.

You just need to show your ID. You do need to know your flight number, or at least the time of departure if it is not a very large airport.

It would not be a bad idea if you wrote down the confirmation number.

It's also good to bring a major credit card. The automated check in machines can read your name off the card and look up your flight from that (doesn't charge anything to the card; just reads your name off the magnetic stripe on the back). You're probably bringing a credit card anyway.

When you get to the airport, there are computer stands where you check your bags in. At those computers, you can slide the card you purchased your ticket with. It'll ask you if you want to print your boarding pass. :)

e-Tickets are simply an alternative to actually getting checked in the old fashioned way. Bring your ID, and you'll be fine.

Make sure you have the confirmation number with you (remember pencils?) and that your ID name is the same as your reservation name (no nicknames).

Just swipe the credit card you used to buy the ticket or enter the confirmation number you wrote down into the machine at the check in and it will print your boarding pass. You do not need to go to the counter unless you are checking in baggage.

I think it depends on the airline. I would recommend calling them to find out about your particular situation.

no you have to print it, save the printout to a disc or flash drive and bring it to the local libray or friends home and print it there. Air ports are HUGE sticklers now and days so its important to have everthing (posport of your going out of the country, ID, ticket info, and ticket recipts)
Good luck.

To avoid problems with the airport securty and airlines staff, go to an internet cafe or friend and keep the printout.
