I fly Delta, for business?

Yes they do suck! Im a Resort Tourism Managment major and my professor told me the only decent airline that makes any kind of profit here in the U.S is southwest airlines. Thats sad that all those other airlines suck and then they want to charge you a riduculous price for a plane ticket.

Is not just Delta, they all suck now. My main problem is the constant delays or worst...cancel flight.

I'VE HAD SOME GREAT EXPERIENCES WITH DELTA, THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ARE ALWAYS HELPFUL. I'M SURE IF YOU NEEDED ANYTHING THEY WOULD BE GLAD TO HELP YOU FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE

They are right up there under US despAIR...they all suck. We travel alot for business and use Jet Blue...very nice....on time usually and very comfortable. check them out if you can:)

We got stranded in Salt Lake City, UT, last spring because they lied to us regarding problems with the flight. Because of the reason they gave, they provided us with no help to get from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas, NV. We ended up renting a car and driving ourselves. Little did we know, nor did the rental car agency because we asked, that we were going to be hitting a snow storm an hour out of Salt Lake City.

I read an (on-line) article recently that Delta gets more complaints from their top-tier (50,000+ miles per year) frequent fliers than any other airline. If they aren't taking care of their best customers just think how they are treating the rest of their passengers. Please don't blame the front-line employees (airport agents/flight attendants) who do their best every day. Poor management is to blame. In most customer service oriented businesses employees are rewarded for going out of their way to help. I have heard just the opposite is true at Delta. Employees are regularly disciplined if company policies are not followed to the letter. Don't get me wrong, when it comes to issues of safety there is no room for compromise, but in day to day customer service issues Delta employees are not empowered to do anything outside the written company rules and policies. The only airline who treats their employees worse is Northwest. (If I come across the news story again I will post a link here)
