You can also take a vitamin e capsule, break it open and put the gel inside on your lips. It will eventually sink into you lips and it will leave them soft. They shouldn't get cracked.
But....
I've flown 14 hours flights since I was really young and sometimes I've forgotten to put vitamin e on them and haven't had any chapstick with me and I was still fine. Whatever you choose, Bon Voyage. |

You can have chap-stick as long as it is the solid kind in a tube, not the stuff in a tub like Carmex (looks like petroleum jelly) or the liquidy Blistex. For the prescriptions you can carry on basically enough of whatever it is to get you through the flight as long as the name on the label is the same as on your ticket and you bring a note from the doctor. |

That's better then ur plane blowing up or something their just taking procedures so "we" can be safe. New technology will come out soon to detect more stuff so it won't always be like this but then again those terrorist are so smart their coming up with new ways to outsmart us everyday! |

I think its because you could hide things in there. they are just protecting you...if you blew up- you know the ones you love would scream bloody murder they didnt protect you. |

Honestly, I would rather be daryed up when i hit the runway, and get out of the plane safely than be perfectly moisturized as my plane went down and everyone in it was about to die. I admit it is a little crazy but these laws are made to protect you. If you have your percripton printed then they will let you have that item on board. |

Ok this is crazy, everyone wants to B and C about the new rules of flying, it's for your own safety people, yes you can take chap stick, there are some that have moisturizers in it. Also, for the one who said things will go back to normal, don't count on it, so for those who hate TSA and what we take and don't allow, here's some options, car, bus, train, bike, scooter, or walk. |

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think you can take a certain amount of prescription liquid on the plane, but it has to be checked out first. Airlines should start offering moisurizing products since people can't bring them on the plane anymore. |

yup, thats the new age we live in, just gotta deal with it, who cares if the terrists get what they want, we all die in the end, and we'll be dead soon enough, so enjoy what life you got left, make the best of it and live like there's no tomarrow! |

I think that perscriptions are ok. but yeah, they go overboard. things will settle down slow and security will go back to normal. then someone will try something again and it will get stupid for a while again |

If you can't go 14 hours without moisturizing your lips you may want to consider a trip to your doctor because there may be something wrong. |

moisturizers contain glycerin, which contains fats, you can easily start a fire with it. |

Check with the airlines, it changes daily. |

I'd talk to the airlines about that. I agree, what can you possibly do with chapstick on board? But you are allowed a knitting needle or a 6 inch wrench. Go figure. |

cant help with your dry lips but about the prescription drugs you are can to take them on a plane but only enough to last you the flight the rest have to be stored in the hold |
