for me
i would bring a notebook to draw for fun
bring my ipod or mp3 player to listen to
go to sleep for hours
look at the available movie they have
do word searches cuz they take really long
take more bathroom breaks cause they waste even more time
read a book
talk to someone you can last a conversation with
bring a laptop

Make sure you get a headset and watch the movie...even if you've seen the movie before...nothing kills time on an airplane like watching a movie...a guaranteed 2 hours of distraction to distract you from how utterly uncomfortable you are sitting between King Kong and Ghenghis Khan...

Also...have at least one newspaper, book of fiction, non-fiction, and science magazine in your carry-on or purse...science magazines are perfect for airline travel...and always fantasize about all the things you'll never buy from the SkyMall Magazine...

Also...make going to the bathroom the time when you gulp your prescription medication...or whatever your taking at the time...

well i usually read magazines

Well Ii would definately bring a book or two, depends on how long the flight is. Also you might want to bring some cards if you are not travelling alone. Also if you like to draw or you are really good a sudoku or word search bring one of those. You also could bring a small pillow, but the airline usually has one.

word find puzzels, crossword puzzels.

ProfessionalGuyz
Wordsearches /sudoku /crosswords/reading magazines/novel writing are what I do on planes.

Usually, i make friends on the plane, especially if it's a long flight. Look for a cutey in terminal(make sure he's getting on the same flight) and start a converstation about how scared you are of flying.

Things should get easier from there, on the plane give him a visit so you'll have someone to talk to the whole time.
