I have a question about 9/11/2001?

I was just wondering when they were finding all of these bodies in the towers I wonder if they knew which bodies came from the planes and if so did they bury them with the Americans or what. Please no jokes on this answer.

Honestly, they did not find out all the identies of those that died. Some bodies remain to be unsurfaced, and the ones found they used dental records to identify them. I think in reality it is hard to say exactly who died and if they were in the planes or in the building. It is up to the families to decide where to hold memorials for the loved ones, and the bodies didn't have very much left so I imagine a lot of them remained in the rubble and such. I have a friend of mine that said there was a stench and some bone fragments strewn throughout that area of town after 9/11. So tragic.

i doubt that they found any from the plane-when it hit the building it was in flames and the bodies prolly incinerated...and not many bodies were found in the rubble when the towers collapsed

legolas g/Frederich
Most of the remains were found were analysed using DNA and profil matching however till this day many bodies have not been found.I guess the effect of the blast must have been huge

I believe it took weeks to find all the bodies if they even found all of them. If there were dental records, they could look at the people that were on the planes and find out if on the plane or in the tower. Lots of work for them though!

kitkat
I don't think there was anything to find, like a lot of the people in the towers.

I think it had something to do with the relatives, identifying them with their records.Dental and so forth. No, they would not bury them with the Americans THAT WOULD ONLY BE AN INSULT.Common denominator,if they were in the middle of it,there was nothing to identify. Some of the bodies were never identified.

tom
pls no joke on this answer him doozs

If I remember correctly the planes that struck the towers were flying at about 275 miles per hour and full of aviation gasoline (long flight planned). When the planes struck the towers they telescoped in on themselves and burst into flame. There were no passenger bodies recovered because the passengers were crushed and burned in that terrible incident. Lastly, the debris materials that once were aircraft and passengers fell some 200 feet down to the ground, and covered by the fifteen or twenty floors worth of cement, steel, office furnishings and installed building support equipment that collapsed on top of them. So, there were not any intact passenger bodies to deal with. The workers did find numerous building employee, and rescue personnel bodies that they were able to extract from the wreckage for proper burial. the last time I looked at the statistics, I think that about half of those involved are still missing or unaccounted for. In case that doesn't hold a lot of meaning for you, those folks, bless their souls, were destroyed.

Joey Bagadonuts
Total number killed in attacks (official figure as of 9/5/02): 2,819

There were 289 bodies found "intact"

There were 19,858 body parts found

There were 1,717 families who got no remains. (that means that
1,102 families had remains returned to them from the World Trade Center attacks.

Check the statistics for yourself: http://www.newyorkmetro.com/news/articles/wtc/1year/numbers.htm
