You will see people in everything from business suits to pajamas, the latter I detest.
I suggest a pair of nice but casual pants such as dockers or a nice pair of jeans that are free from rips/tears/stains. I like to layer my tops, usually wearing a tank top under a collared button up shirt or a sleeveless shirt with a lightweight cardigan sweater. Casual but comfortable shoes are a must, just make sure they are easy to remove for security screening. If you get cold easily you may want a lightweight jacket or wrap as well.
As tempting it my be to wear sweats, flannel pants or over sized t shirts try to avoid them. Dressing like you just rolled out of bed makes you appear lazy and unkempt. If there is the possibility of receiving an upgrade (not likely but it can happen) you will be looked over as appearance does matter. |

layer....you don't know what they will crank the a/c down to. Long pants, not shorts, for the same reason. Tennies, not sandals (do you really want bare feet in that nasty lavatory? No, I didn't think so).
Thank you for your question--it gives me a little hope in humanity that somebody is actually giving some thought to what to wear on an airplane. When you are in line & on the plane, you will see that there are many, many people who don't. Have a nice flight! |

Depends how long your flying for, but you are definitely going to want to wear something comfortable that you can stand sitting in for a while. |

I wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, good walking shoes and bring lots of great games or reading material!

oh yes, casual but nice is the best. You don't want to look like you just rolled out of bed, no matter how confortable you want to be. Don't wear items that will wrinkle or are too tight. |

I always just wear something loose, like sweats, a t shirt, and a hoodie. You can take off/put on the hoodie if the plane is too hot or cold and sweats are most comfortable for sitting in during long flights. |
