I have never flown on an airplane before, i dont know what to expect, and I get motion sickness, and tips?

just relax. and enjoy the ride! You probably wont get motion sickness, but if you do dont worry the airplane has barf bags.

Yeah just relax, youre probably gonna be nervous but dont worry, the airplane they should give you food and a movie. So sit back and relax.

I like Mr. C's answer but thought I might add that you can also go to your pharmacist and get some dramamine for motion sickness and take one as directed before you get on the plane. You probably don't even need it, but if your real nervous and get motion sickness easily I think spending a couple bucks on a pill to prevent it would be the ticket.

The only parts you'll feel are the takeoff and the landing. Oh, and as the plane climbs, you may feel some pressure in your ears. Just pinch your nose shut and try to blow out, and that will equalize the pressure. Odds are good that you won't get much of a meal on the flight, unless you're in first class. But don't worry about that, because you can't throw a dead cat in New York without it going through the window of at least five restaurants. Also, don't panic if it feels as if the plane's going down a bumpy road. Turbulence is common in flight. Just keep your seat belt buckled unless you have to hit the rest room.

If your motion sickness is a problem, take a Dramamine before the flight.

I understand if this answer ins't the most helpful one, but you should try to sleep or use an iPod/MP3 player if you like music. If you can try to get noise canceling headphones because it is really easy to sleep without the airplanes engines in your ears

best advice I can give...dont freak out when you have turbulence. EVERY plane ride has turbulence, and in every plane ride they will tell you to put your seat belt back on. Its totally normal, it does not mean you will crash.

The way you can think of it, when you are in a big strong SUV, and you are driving over a couple of rocks...the car shakes. But you arent scared because you know that even if the little rocks shake the car, its totally normal and the car isnt going to lose control or flip over...it was built strong enough to handle those kind of things.

Get yourself some dramamine and take it about 20 minutes before take off, or right after you board. I hate flying and HAVE to have dramamine. Also, bring some gum. If you have never flown, the plugging of the ears sucks, so just chew the gum. Bring a book ort a magazine, or a crossword puzzle. The rest is a piece of cake for the most part. Have fun in New York. I miss Alabama. My Dad lived in the huntsville area for years. Will be going there later this year. :)

Hi.. I use to be scared getting on planes. I don't think you will get motion sickness and they do have paper bags in case you feel like puking. Take something to distract you like a ipod or a dvd player so you can watch movies. Also I advise you to chew gum for take off so your ears dont pop. It sucks when you ear pops for a couple of days. Enjoy your trip.

If motion sickness is something you worry about, take a Gravol about 45 minutes before your scheduled takeoff. It will make you drowsy and relaxed.
