I'm a 15 year old girl, and I'm going to Europe this summer w/ my mom.. the problem is I have to ride in a plane a lot, and i'm terrified, I've never ridden a plane before. I'm afraid I'll get nauseous, or get a headache, and I'm just thinking of everything that could go wrong. Help me?!?! Thanks? |

Don't worry. Just remember that riding in a plane is much safer than riding in a car. Bring some advil and nausea medicine with you on your carry on bag. And if you can't, just take deep breaths and ask the stewardess for a glass of cold water. Everything will be fine, just relax and enjoy the experience. That's wonderful! Have a good trip. |

You're unlikely to suffer any physical symptoms. Only one in a thousand airline passengers has any trouble with motion (air) sickness; airplane rides are much smoother than boat, bus, or train rides. You probably won't get a headache, either, unless you're already prone to headaches under other circumstances (even then, the air on an airplane is cleaner than, say, big-city air, so you might be fully headache-free).
Usually the most irritating part of a plane ride is hearing your ears pop periodically on the way up and on the way down. It's not much of a problem today, but it still happens, and if you're one of those (relatively rare) people who has trouble popping her ears, it can be very annoying.
As for safety, that's not a problem. Modern airline trips are so safe that there's no point in even bothering to worry about safety. You're more likely to hit someone else head-on in the car on the way to the airport. |

There are hundreds of planes going to and from Europe as we speak and not one will crash because these planes go over everyday and never crash. Air travel is safer than car travel. Realx and think about Europe. You should not be in pain, just on takeoffs and landings chew gum and swallow a lot so ur ears dont pop. |

Well it's not that bad, really. I'm fifteen too, and live in new zealand, and am learning to fly..... There is turbulance and it is bumpy at departure and landing, but otherwise it is not too bad. The crew are always friendly, so just look for them for any questions about the flight when on board. You can't really describe it, the airport is busy and people rusing around everywhere. Just make sure you arrive at least 2 hours prior to departure, and even longer if it is a large airport so that you can find your way around. Just don't forget your passport - keep an eye on it at all times, and some extra money in case of some departure fees or taxes hidden by the airport.
As for the flight, just go and experience it, don't be afraid, just turn up and experience it. Have a look at the link below....
I hope this helps :D |

You won't get sick or get a headache....it's not like riding on a roller coaster. Don't freak yourself out.....flying on a plane is much safer than riding in a car. It's fear of the unknown. Think about the great trip you're going on and everything you're going to see.....you are so lucky! You'll be fine and will probably fall asleep on the flight....don't worry yourself about it. Have fun in Europe! |

ive ridden a plane more than 50 times in my life and never has anything bad happened, ive been to europe a few times and its not bad at all, if you get motion sickness go tothe doctor and they will give you something that will knock you out and before you know it you'll be in europe, my cousin did that when she went to australia it was like a 20 hour flight and she slept the whole way there,
GOOD LUCK! and have fun:] |

You are actually a hundred times safer in a commercial airplane than in a private automobile on the highway. If it really bothers you that much, ask your parent(s) to ask your family doctor for a one-time dose of a mild anti-anxiety medication that you can take half an hour before boarding the plane. Once you realize it's not going to fall apart around you, you'll do fine. |
