I ordered my plane ticket online. Now how do I go about picking the ticket up?

I ordered the ticket from Orbitz. Do I just print out my information and give it to the people at the airport to get my actual ticket? If so, how long before my trip do I need to do this? Can I do it on the day of the trip?

There's no such thing as a ticket anymore. It's an eticket. There should be an eticket number on your Orbitz receipt. If you don't already have them, you'll be given boarding passes at the airport. That's all you need to get through security and board the plane.

BTW, go to TSA.gov and read the security regulations very carefully. It will save you time, embarrassment, and maybe having some of your stuff confiscated.

Print out your itinerary and take it with you (with ID) before you get on your flight and they issue you a boarding pass at the ticket counter for your airline.

is all you need to do is bring your passport or ID and you can print that paper out and use it as a reference so you know what the times are your plane leaves and lands. As soon as you get to the airport go to whichever airline you bought your ticket from and show them your ID they'll give you your ticket and off you go. Make sure your there 2 hours before to get through check-in and security.

You can print your e-ticket from the airline website within 24 hours of your flight or give an airport attendant at the desk you confirmation/itinerary number and they can print it.

I would take what you printed with you to the airport, but these days they have kiosks at the airport for almost all airlines. When you get there go to the kiosk for the airline you are flying on, usually you need to swip your credit card (not to charge it, but it pulls up your reservation using the credit card), it should pull up your info, ask you if you are checking any bags & how many, sometimes it will ask you if you want to upgrade your seat or take an earlier flight. Then it will print out your ticket & receipt. If you are checking any luggage you take your ticket with you to the desk & they will put the label on your luggage. If you are not checking any luggage, then you can take your ticket and head over to the security checkpoint.

you should go to the website of the airline you are flying on and 24 hrs before your flight check in via their website and print out anything it tells you to print

you are supposed to print out and when you go to the people at the airport they will eventually give you a ticket. yes you can do this on the day of the trip. I've done it hundreds of times. NO need to worry!

geminimom79
Depending on the airline (United, Delta, Southwest) you can go online and print your ticket up to 24 hours before your flight. You will need the reservation/confirmation # from the airline, not the Orbitz #. Have a safe trip!
