yes, and land without a parachute . . . on your feet.

jk, i'm a pilot, and no, you don't have to jump out of any planes, but you might want to just for fun.

dhuffman1180
yes you do have to, and to get any sort of pilots license you have to study these things.

Principles of Flight
Flight Regulations
Meteorology
Navigation
Radio Communications
Flight Instruments
Human Factors
Medical Certification
Emergencey Situations

My cousin is a fighter pilot in the USAF...she jumps, but I think she just oves doing it. Altho it may be required in case you're plane gets shot down...you would want to jump out of it

Air force pilots mostly stay in the plane, but you might have to jump out of the plane for the just incase situation.

If you want to jump out of the plane pretty regularly, try the army. I think they do more jumping out of the plane than Air force pilots.

mikeyzdream
That question is a duuuuhhhh! What do you think you're going to do, if you're shot down? Flap your arms? This is one of the dumbest!

Sir Readalot
You have to attend the Air Force Academy, a four-year college, in Colorado. Modern warplanes go too fast for a pilot to jump out of; they have ejection seats.

If you're lucky enough to be selected, you'd better be ready and willing to learn about parachutes. Here is some of what you'll need:

1. Not just good grades, stellar - top 1% of academics through college.
2. 20/20 or better vision
3. Perfect health, height & weight in suitable proportion
4. Pass numerous aptitude, psychological & cognitive tests
5. IF selected, be willing to serve a 10 year enlistment.

There is also no guarantee of being a fighter pilot. You could get C-17, C-5, C-130, KC-10, KC-130, AWACS etc. It take a lot of planes to support fighters.

?
sure as a safety precaution to save you in the event the plane goes down. good luck at it, btw!

absolutely.
I know for a fact that besides anything the air force will make you do in "basic" the fighter training requires you to simulate ejecting and also have you parachute.

It's good training in case you must eject.

kev l
yes it would be part of the train as if you are a pilot you would have to know how to parachute out of a plane

whiner_cooler
I think that if you want to be an Air Force fighter pilot, they want you to stay IN the plane.

But as a precautionary measure, yes they do have you practice jumping out of a plane.

jessicapace90
Chances are pretty good you will.
