If I get stuck in the airport overnight?
What would be some of the best things I could have with me, to keep me comfortable and entertained?...

getting stuck up in the airport is always impromtu. since one is not sure about it one does not take preparation in advance.so following measures are suggested: a) always carry enough money b) carry some light/dried food c) a book in which u find interest and consume mximum hours d) if possible a lap top which can keep u busy hours togather |

I work in the ariport. TSA takes your water, when you go through security, but you can buy some on the Concourse past security. Something to drink, food to eat, but eat light because you don't want to feel sick on a plane, or in the concourse, and something to do. Maybe a book, or magazine, or a game boy, or portable DVD player. Also, if you don't mind carring it with you, a pillow, or better yet, a swetter you can bunch up into a pillow, or put on if you get cold. (its kinda cold in the airports if you aren't moving around.) Remember, anything you bring you have to carry around, so you might want to pack lite, but remember the vitals. Like contact solution, and basic toiletries. If worse comes to worse, bring extra money for a hotel room if things get hopeless! You don't want to be stranded without cash. You might want to rent "The Terminal" for some helpfull tips. Good luck, and have a wonderfull day, and flight! :) |

Well, the airport has food and drink available for purchase so have money to buy things. A book from the library or bookstore is always good to help pass time. Your MP3 player is good. A pillow would help make you more comfortable. I would advise against a laptop because you would have the chance of having it stolen if you fall asleep. |

When I fly international I always bring my "bug out" bag a rucksack with a change of underwear, shirt and socks. Also depending on the season a jacket for just in case. Toss in a couple of granola/energy bars, a book, a psp, mp3 player and you are good to go. Toiletries are now a bit of a problem I bring a hair brush but have now dropped my toothbrush and toothpaste in favour of getting a disposable one inside the secure area. For deodorant I've switched to one of those crystal things and it seems to work OK. This has done me well over the years both internationally and domestically. Domestically my laptop usually gets stuck in the bag as well. |
