I check out and search whether it has any loosely flying companions on the road, of different denominations or small change. After confirming the same positive or negative, I would thank God for compensating for all the money I lost like that and go home straight to tell the wife about the great find and insist she not celebrate for it is only a recompense and not a windfall. *Smiles as you.

Put the money toward my college
or
toward a new place to stay(my mother is driving me nuts)
or
give it to my sister who is a single mother and could use it.

Well, I will keep it as my lucky charm! It already ahppened to me. Imagine, I was able to find one on my way home along the very busy street. But before picking it up, I tried to see it there's an attached string to it, ha,ha,ha,haa! Because that's one style of the tv programs here... "WoW Mali!" So, when I saw that nothing was attached into it, I picked it up. Up to now, it's with me as my "lucky charm". :)

Buy a meal.. get a lottery ticket and promise that if I win I would donate a percentage to a charity.. Finding $100 on the street is the universe's way of telling you it's your day.. enjoy it.

Keep it. This actually happened to me once. I walked into the lobby of a business to pay a bill and saw a 100 dollar bill on the floor. I picked it up and took it home and then I started to think what if some poor old person lost it and had no money for groceries, so I called the business and said I had found some money on the floor, but did not say how much and told them it anyone called to say they had lost some money, they should call me. I waited one month and when I did not hear from them, I spent it on Christmas gifts.

The odds of figuring out who it belonged to aren't very great. So I'd consider myself very lucky. I'd also feel terrible for the person who lost it, regardless of not knowing who it was. That's a terrible loss.
