If i purchase a plane ticket online and it goes down in price a week or two later, can i be reimbursed?

yes...and no.
If you purchased the ticket thru an online site like Orbitz or Priceline, then most likely no. If you bought it directly from an airline website, then MAYBE....(big maybe).
IF, the booking class (fare basis) that is now CHEAPER (highly unlikely) and exactly the same as your itinerary is booked in, AND available for sale(also highly unlikely), then yes, you conceivably COULD get a small refund. It's generally not worth the efforts, and to be honest, you'd have better luck winning the lottery then getting that to happen.
All of the above is assuming you bought an advanced purchase, highly restricted ticket. If you bought a simple fare (no restrictions), you have a much better chance of actually finding the same fare basis in which to have them rebook you in, and getting the difference refunded.

Some airlines will refund you the difference. Couldn't hurt to ask.

No, air ticket is a form of contract. Once the ticket is paid and issued, passenger and carrier enter the terms and conditions of that ticket. Getting reimbursed cannot be done but there may be other ways.

"Full Fare" tickets are unrestricted, fully refundable and changeable without penalty. It is caters to travers who need flexibilities, but it cost 3-4 times higher. If this is the case you can get a full refund to buy the cheaper ticket.

Since your question is about price goes down a week or two later; it is unlikely that is a "full fare" ticket. Many discounted tickets are non-refundable but exchangeable (with the same carrier) with a penalty. It is unlikely, but you can exchange it If the difference of the new ticket is more than the penalty.

usually not, once you've purchased the ticket that's the final price, sometimes you can call an airline and ask nicely, but if you get rude and mean with the agent on the phone they'll definately not be inclined to even want to give it to you even if they have the power to. but even if they can't don't be frustrated most reps will give it to you if they can. but 99% of the time the rate that you purchase is the final rate it will usually only go up the closer it gets to flight time

If the airline offers you cancelation during u are signing the e-ticket then ofcorse but I don't think that the price can go down in a week or so.

Please check the terms and conditions of the air tkt you have purchase. But most likely the answer is no. Normally, the prices of the air tkt is based on the date u issued, if the price drop u cant get a refund, likewise if the rise, they cant get a top up frm u.
