If you are traveling domestically I would suggest that you get there at least 1 hr 1/2 prior as you want to give yourself plenty of time to get through the security checkpoints, etc... If you are traveling internationally I would suggest that getting there at least 3 hrs prior. You don't want to miss you flight because you get stuck in a security checkpoint line, etc.....
Hope this helps and have a great trip! |

You won't hurt yourself if you get to the airport 2 hours early. Others may scoff at you for being there way early...but......in case the airlines overbook.....and some of them admit doing so .........because you checked in early..you won't lose your seat. Our Elementary school teachers were right.."The Early Bird DOES get the worm" |

Domestic: at least 2 hrs (if it is a major airport) due to security....sloooooow, otherwise 1 1/2 hr.
International: at a major hub figure 3 hrs.
Busiest days: Friday thru Monday AM. So be early, and you won't miss your flight. |

Your itinerary should tell you that was provided with the ticket.
If flying economy domestic usually 60 minutes prior.
If flying economy longhaul usually 120 minutes prior.
If flying Business or First usually 60 minutes prior.
If still in doubt see the guidelines on the website of the carrier you are traveling with. You should also consider the size of the airport you are departing from and allow a contingency for your travel to the airport incase traffic delays your arrival.
Most carriers will advise you when check in closes prior to departure.
Happy landings! |

It depends on where you're going and on which airline.
The safe bet is 2 hours for a domestic flight and 3 for an international. You'll spend a lot of time waiting for your flight but in case the queue is long at security or at the ticket counter, you don't want to be freaking out as you wait in line.
Happy travels! |

Always 2 hours before, even if its domestic. Don't forget no toiletries (you can take 100ml bottles only) inc. make up in your hand luggage otherwise they get taken off you, I learnt the hard way! |

At least 1 hour. If you're flying on Southwest I'd say 1.5 hrs. And for international 2hrs. |
