If you are stranded in an airport, is it better to catnap and risk being drowsy when you wake or stay awake?

Erm i'd just go and find a Hilton hotel or similar and get the airline to ring me when the flight was confirmed.

I always sleep at airports, it's a side effect of the tranquilisers!! Why don't we use boats more??

Penfold
Depends why you're stranded at the airport but I'd take a catnap - you will be woken up when people start arriving for work at 5am.

If you don't stay awake, you risk missing the plane.

bluecross0924
you can take a cat nap to get refreshed and you'll feel better

Jeni
If you are a light sleeper, take the nap. If you wake up drowsy, who cares---you're only getting up long enough to board a plane and fall asleep again....

CATNAP

Power naps are shown to boost your energy, so taking a 20-minute catnap could actually leave you more refreshed than if you were to stay awake. If you're stranded anyway, keep your luggage with you and take a quick nap if you want; it could be a good decision.

If you're a really heavy sleeper, it might be a bad idea because you don't want to miss your flight or, though I doubt it would happen, someone could steal things while you sleep. Remember to set an alarm for when you need to wake up
