with helium? an adult would take about 6200. We know human air doesn't work because people who are full of it don't fly away we're still stuck with them. |

zero, you need helium blowing them up |

If you filled them with air, all the balloons in the world wouldn't pick you up. You'd have to fill them with something that's lighter than air - hydrogen or helium, perhaps.
It would take thousands of helium balloons to lift a grown man into the air. Possibly tens of thousands.
If you got ahold of much larger balloons, like surplus weather balloons, you'd only need a few to do it. That's what "Lawn Chair Larry" did in 1982. He floated to 16,000 feet over Los Angeles (His flight earned him the altitude record for manned clustered-balloon flight, an FAA fine, and a prize from the Bonehead Club of Dallas.) Read about it at www.darwinawards.com and search for Lawn Chair Larry |

zero. helium is the ONLY thing that you could use to keep the balloon up |

MythBusters did this one.under controlled circumstances...there was a guy back in the 70's I think who actually did it though.
But you can't blow them up, expired air is mostly CO2,which is "heavier than air". You need something very bouyant like Helium |
