should be fine in your checked luggage, but I would still put it in a place where sticky fingers in the airport wouldn't easily find it, like the pocket of a pair of slacks in your suitcase |

Ignore Jake. Put it in your check-in luggage,you'll be fine. I take knives every nearly trip for camping. There was a lady on a similar Q a few days back who sells chef's knives and takes her sample pack with her.They're no problem in checked-in bags. Take an axe if you like. Only restricion is actually having knives or other dangerous stuff with you in the plane. Rifle teams take their guns with them. How else are they going to compete abroad. Need proper paper-work for that though. Knives are no prob. Checked in,they're fine,no problem. Owning knives is not illegal in UK. It's how they're used,or intended to be used,that can be illegal. |

yes you can bring it back as long as its in your suit case in the hold,
be warned though if the knife "locks" it may be taken from you by customs in the uk when you arrive back as these knifes are illegal, as are certain other types |

As a world traveler if you want to make it to your destination you best put any item that can be used to do harm in your checked luggage. |

A couple of years ago my husband brought back a penknife from Australia. He packed it in his suite case and had no problem bringing it in. The laws on owning knives in the UK have changed but as long as you don't carry it around you should be OK.
Check on the Government web site for the legalities. |

yea hide in the edge of your case, and u should be allowed it through, as long as your not holding the case on the plane. it is in the luggage thingy :) |
