Several people have survived falling from above the terminal velocity point - this article mentions 3 of them: Joe Hermann of the Royal Australian Air Force, Vesna Vulovic - a flight attendant, and Nick Alkemade - an RAF tailguner.

There are no guarantees, but probably yes...you will most likely die.

It depends on how high you jump from.
And where do you land.
If you jumped from 10,000 ft, you already know your answer.
Even if you jumped into water, the surface tension would be to strong

it depends. if the plane is airborne, then you'd probably die. if it was parked in the hanger you probably wouldnt. its the same for the crashes. if your airborne, its likley that you would die or be severely injured. if the plane crashed while taxing out to the runway, youd likley live.

Jumping out of plane... yes you are histoy. Unless you get an act of god.

A plane crash, well that all depends on the type of crash. Many people have survived crashes, but it all depends on the way the plane crashes.

Original Swagg
It all depends on how high the plane is and where you fall.
A plane crash, yeah you probably would survive but it all depends on how fast your impact speed is and the why the crash is.

Nothing is certain in life, but the odds are against you.

No, and No.

For the first question, it would depend on the height. I doubt if the plane was on the ground you would die if you jumped (although anything is possible), your odds of survival go down as the planes altitude gets higher.

For the second wuestion, i would also depend on the height, the type of plane, your seat, what precautions you had taken, what you were crashing onto, etc... There is not always a guarantee that you will die. Especially if the plane does not explode and you are seated in the cargo hold surrounded by giant marshmallows (and if that is the case, hook me up with a ticket).

It won't take long! Wish you a safe journey to ....!

although you are most likely dead from a freefall from an airplane, people have survived. Your best bet is landing in snow. From 30,000 ft. plus, you have 4 minutes before you hit the ground. You can travel over 1 mile horizontally during this fall. There are incidents where people have lived from a fall from an airplane. Of course 98% of the time you are done for.

it depends on how high and where.
bare ground.. well, you're most likely going to die.
water..... same (unless somehow the impact of you hitting the water isnt enough to break your bones and there is land right near in which case you may be saved)

but then again, you can land in a huge pile of hay/manure in a farm or something, or you could get caught in a tree just before you hit the ground so the impact isn't as strong.

so it's where you jump, when you jump.... but after that, it's just pure luck.

Yeah, I would say you're going to die if you leap out of a plane with no parachute, though miracles do happen. If a miracle did happen, you would be in excruciating pain for an unbearably long time.

Anyway, I don't usually count on miracles.

i guess that would all depend on the altitude of the pane now wouldnt it?
