It is the time the plane pulls away from the gate.

nectar_pepsi
It's the time when the plane is pushed back from the terminal and heads towards the runway.

Jordan L
that's the time the plane leaves the gate. boarding is usually 20-30 minutes before, and you should get to the airport 90 min to 2 hours before that.

the_hedda_lettuce
Departure time means when the plane is pushing off from the gate.
If a majority of passengers are already on board and they keep calling your name, a plane can leave 10 minutes early.

If you have luggage to leave with the ticket agent, you are to be checked in for your flight 1 1/2 hours before the departure time.
If you have only carry on luggage, then you need to be checked in 1 hour before departure time.

Boarding starts half an hour before the departure time. So be at the gate at 7:05 for boarding.

Your departure time is also set according to the time zone you are in.

actual departure (scheduled time) - boarding is usually15 minutes before that. Latest check-in is usually 1-2 hours before the plane leaves, but most airports do advise you to be there two hours ahead of time.

Enjoy your flight!

tonalc1
It means that's when you depart, leave, pull away from the gate.

KENT R
It is the time when you pull away from the gate

Michelle T
This time is when the doors leading to the entrance of the plane will be closed and no one else can board. Your plane will then leave about three minutes later so the pilot can get set for flight.

justagrandma
Its the time the plane leaves, boarding time is earlier, on the flight we just took the jet left at 8:30 but we boarded at 7:45.
We were on time for take off at 8:30.
You have to get to the airport two hours before take off to pass inspection.

It means the plane is actually LEAVING the gate at that time. Take off might be another 5 min to..........anytime the control tower give the pilot the "green light"..

crazyina247
I think that that's the time when the doors close...
It should be the time your plane departs, but it's not, it usually leaves at least 15-20 minutes after that because the captain needs to get ready and so do the passengers and flight attendants.

the time you take off... you will usually start boarding 30 minutes before that time. Make sure you are there well before then.... If you are flying internationally.... be there at least 2 hours early.... and if it is domestic... at least one to 2 hours early... some airlines won't even let you check in if they started boarding...

mum to 1
thats when the plane is due to apart. boarding is usually 30 mins before. If its an international flight check in 2 hours before departing time and if uk then its 1 hour before departing time. hope this helps

flyskyhawk2008
NO NO NO!!!!!!

Your departure time is the time that your plane begins taxiing to the runway. Most airlines push their planes away from the gate 2 to 3 minutes before this time. Flight times are counted from pushback from the destination airport to arrival at the destination airport's gate.Check in at least 30 minutes before the time on your ticket for domestic flights and at least one hour before time on your ticket for international flights. Happy flying!

well, your ticket say your flight is 7:35.. its much better if you check in by 5:30.. usually for 7:35 flight, the final call is 7:15.. by this time the F/A already give safety briefing and make sure all the passenger are ready to take off.. and after finish the safety briefing the aircraft door is closed and ready to take off ... and by 7:35 the aircraft supposed already at the runway ready to take off... so, to answer your question, the 7:35 ticket indicate that the flight take off at 7:35..

laylay
Simple, you need to be at the airport at 6:35 and no later because now if your a second to late you will not b able to board,
to answer your Q it's the departure time, and they are subject to change without notice!!!!!! so b there b4 time.

Thats when the plane takes off .....you have to be at the airport about 2 hours before you take off and check in ,with all the new security feartures it might take a while to get thru the security checkpoints. The plane usualy starts boarding 10-15 min before takeoff. Now if you fly international you need to be there 3 hours before and also don't forget that you can only take 3 ounces of liquid on board and it neets to be in a little bag thats see thru and recloseable. Have a nice flight and a Happy New Year......

Fly-Half Legend
it depends some airports will put depart and that will be the time you board the plane and others will put depart as the time you leave. I usually get there about 3 hours before anyway giving me a chance to check in and then look around the shops and this means you can't be late. A notice on the microphone will come up asking passangers for a certain flight to make there way to a gate

This is the time when the plane takes off. Tickets never showing boarding time only take off time.
So you need to be at the Airport before that.

well, that is the departing time of the plane (usually) however, all the information you needed like boarding time, gate number also indicated on the ticket.

it also depends on where are you flying, domestic or international. security is one factor that you need to deal with. domestic is quite easy than international flight. international is more stricter than domestic, due to x-ray, passports and documents required, money exchanges plus your luggage is heavier than local, plane is bigger than the domestic flight.

just ensure that you have ample of time from the departure time, it is better for you to wait in the gate (boarding area) than late arriving on the airport. that rush will turn to chaos and you might be ended taking the next flight as stand by and that is the worst scenario if you must be on your destination expected on time.

have a safe trip and hope you enjoy your flight, as it seems this is your first air travel..

Depart means take off, leave. So if I were you, I would be on the plane by 7:35. If you're at the gate, before they start boarding, you should be OK.

Buddy! :D

Thats when it leaves!

And if I was you I would go at 6 sharp just insace you forgot something, or something happends. Trust me, if you probably go at 7:25 it would be too late if you forgot something.. So go at 6. It will help a lot!

Enjoy your flight :D

7:35 is the wheels up time for the aircraft. That means It is when the plane will beginning its takeoff from the airport. It is advised to get to the airport atleast 2 hours before departure time. This give s you time to check in among other things.
