Also you can go on line to each airport you are flying to and there are links as to where the gates are located and baggage claim etc. As long as you have your tickets and are confirmed you will know which gate you are leaving from and arriving to. It is pretty simple. My kids flew alone over Feb. vacation and did just fine by themselves for the first time. |

I flew for the 1st and only time in my life at age 14 and I managed just fine. I did the best in the biggest airport on my trip which was indianapolis, I had to go from gate 15-77 and i found it really easily, just by following the gate signs. You can always ask at a desk if you have a problem. I think you'll be fine, your 18. good luck |

Oh my goodness! you have absolutely nothing to worry about . The flight crew Will look out for you as best as they can. Let the reservation agent discretely know...What i mean is don't advertise that you are afraid...one never knows who is listening..Just let her /him know you have some concerns traveling. They will see you are alone and are professional. They know what to do.
Ask on the phone before getting t the airport if you want to be more discrete. Who can I speak to if....May I sit ....so I am more comfortable if ...I am a little nervous....have some questions ready for the agents if you must.
They will help you as much as possible.Do not TALK TO STRANGERS! If you must speak to someone ask a flight attendant or someone working at the counter or in a gift shop. Take a magazine, relax..but just be aware of your surroundings.
You Will be fine! I was !7 when I traveled from Montreal to Israel alone for the first time..then Europe. I now travel with my students abroad every year.
Good luck! |

Last summer was my first time flying alone I was only 13. My mom waited with me at the counter until a flight attendant
picked me up and brought me through security and brought me to my gate. Then i waited until it was time for the UM to board the plane then another flight attendent came and toke me on the plane and brought me to my seat. during the flight she kept asking me how I was and if i needed anything. Then we had a stop over in Venice and another flight attendant brought me to the waiting area and told me what to do when it is time to board the plane. When I got to rome an agent toke me to get my luggage, and drop me off at who was picking me up. But for you you don't need any one to sign for you. If you have any trouble just ask a passenger who is getting on the same connecting flight as you if he/she can show you were it is. |

Oh please don't panic I work for an airline and there are many people to help you . You can ask for assistance when you check in and someone will help you at each sector of you journey.
We have lone travelers from as little as 6 years old who travel to the other side of the world alone. They are very well looked after. |
