Kids of the age of 15 fly alone...
You can go by yourself...all you need is a ticket and your parents permission! |

Just to expand on what travelguy3680 said, you only need to be 15 years old to travel alone and not have to be considered an Unaccompanied Minor (or pay the fees that go along with that process). As long as you have your parents permission (not to mention their trust in you to travel alone) and can buy a ticket, there should be nothing else that can stop you.
Good luck! |

There is a system called unoccumpanied minors on most airlines. With your parent's consent, you are allowed to fly alone. You have to pay a fee to fly alone, but you get special care (ex. Flight Attendent sits next to you, tell you haow to get to your gate, etc.)
Depending on which airline you fly, a minor is mostly under 18, but some airlines offer younger cutoffs for minors (ex. a Minor is under 15)
So check with your airline and see what fees there may be (if there is one at all!) |

OK im 17. all i had to do was order my tickets. the child has to be under 13 i believe and even then they can but they have to have a flight attendent person to accompany them the whole way to make sure they find where they need to be. But since your 17 there should be NO problem with flying alone. My Fiance did this as well who is also 17 back in January. So your safe. I hope you get to go and enjoy your visit. |

As a courtesy you should ask a permission from them. However technically speaking you do not need to have an approval since the airline will already detect you as an adult. As young as 15 can already be considered as an adult non UM. |

Buying an airline ticket at age 17 would be like buying anything else. As others have said some airlines allow 12 year olds to buy tikcets and travel alone. Some airlines allow people over 15 to buy tickets and travel alone. At age 17 you will not need to pay the babysitting fee or get permission from your parents. As common courtesy you should let your parents know. Otherwise they could report you as a runaway.
Most airlines consider people over 15 adults. This means you travel under the same conditions as an adult would traveling alone. Southwest considers people over 12 adults. United,American and Detla consider people over 15 adults.
You can purchase airline tickets without your parents knowing and leave without telling them. |

if this is to meet someone you met on the internet, please don't-could be very dangerous.....if you have the money to fly yourself out there, fly him out here.
I'm telling your mom. |

Whoa baby. <3

Well when I was 11, I flew to California alone. It's a pretty simple process. But since you said that you're flying to Canada (a different country) I'm not sure. But I know that it's possible. (: |

Yes, I flew at age 10. Ages 4-18 have to have an official document permission from your parents. They take care of you on the flight, with supervisors. It is a long story talk to your parents about it and talk to your airline company! It is possibe you just need permission!!! Bye! |
