Im not sure what the plane is going to be like . They might put you on a plane that is more spacious, seats that pull out giving you more room to extend your legs, etc. I really dont know for usre, as i have never been on a flight for that amoutn of time. I think that if there is gonna be any differences, it would be the amount of leg room you get, because on a normal plane you dont get a lot of legroom
Whatever you do, make sure you walk around enough, even if its going up and down the aisle, for blood circulation reasons. They may hand out free eye masks and socks too.
ok, i forget to add, they may give out more freebies, they will have movies on, music, good choice of food,, lots of drink available, maybe free newspapers, etc. |

They have movies on the flight, but you probably won't be able to hear them very well because of the roar of the jet engines.
I usually bring a book, time passes a lot quicker when you're concentrating on something instead of looking at your watch every five minutes. Bon Voyage. |

a HOT tip..... get an aisle seat, even if it means your partner across the aisle. This way you can stretch your legs out. Wear very light, comfortable, loose clothes. Depending on the weather, put a fleece or so in your cabin bag, rether than be fussed with carrying it separtly. |

The airplane will be about the same, just bigger. There will be either TV screens hanging from above every few yards or individual screens in the back of the seat in front of you. With the first, you only have the choice to watch or not. The second gives you your own choice of several TV or music channels. You can either bring your own headphones or buy them on the plane. Sometimes they're given for free.
There's really no big difference between short and long flights.
Have fun. |

For starters, being on a plane for 10 hours is a nightmare!!! Those seats are really tight, not much space. It's impossible to sleep because the engine is loud and you are sat up straight. Now the comforts of the flight depends on the airline. Air France is very good in that respect, because everybody has their own little tv screen and they give out headphones so you can listen to or watch what you want. I really have to say that Air France provides excellent on-board entertainment as you have many films, games, cartoons, music etc. that you can select on your personal t.v. You can even play Who Wants to be a Millionaire!!! I don't think other airlines provide that kind of quality entertainment on their flights. You get fed twice whilst on the plane, and one of the meals will be a 'proper meal'. The good thing is, that you can walk around and they set up small trolleys at certain places in the plane where you can pick from different drinks all throughout the flight. I hope this helps. |

More detail - where to, who with etc Most long haul flights are by Jumbo Jet or the like - depends who you are flying with |

Depends which airline you'll be flying and what class of ticket you have.
Guess!!!
It'll be a Boeing 777, state of the art, comfortable, personal video screen. You'll enjoy the flight and hopefully be able to strech out and have a nap. |

Usually, the longer the flight time, the better the service, and the configuration of the seating sometimes allows for more leg room. In addition, you'll have a better meal service as well. 10 hours will go by pretty quickly, just don't think about the time and you'll be fine. I hear that taking Melatonin, will also take care of any jet lag. Take a bedtime, and you'll wake up refreshed and good to go. |

Which airline are you flying on? If its Emirates or Qatar airways, it is most likely you will get an OD system (On-Demand system). Other airlines might have this system. BA are introducing it from London to New York on FIRST CLASS ONLY.
Who are you flying with (Airline) and where to? |

It will be pretty much the same as on a short flight. You won't have any more room if you are travelling by economy. There will be in flight entertainment, but I would advise taking a book and a few magazines. Get up regularly to go to the loo or something just to strech your legs. |
